2026 Fantasy Outlook
Ramos quietly put together his second consecutive 20-homer season, tying for second on the Giants in homers with 21 behind Willy Adames' 30. Ramos also cut his strikeout rate to a career-low 22.7%, though he did not end up with anything to show for it in regards to batting average and in fact lost 13 points in BA and 69 points in SLG. Still, he logged 695 plate appearances (15th in MLB) and scored 85 total runs while regularly serving as the leadoff hitter against lefties under former manager Bob Melvin. Since getting the call back to the majors in May of 2024, Ramos has slashed .262/.326/.430 with 43 homers, 141 RBI, 139 runs scored and 12 steals across 278 games. The main problem aside from the home park is that he is simply not a good defender in left field. There is already a great deal of pressure on his bat and he will have to continue clearing a high offensive bar to maintain playing time long term. Read Past Outlooks

Ramos didn't make the Opening Day roster last season and didn't hit his first home run until May 19, but he still finished second on the Giants in homers with 22. He hit an even 20 long balls in an 82-game span, during which he slashed .282/.340/.518 across 359 plate appearances. Statcast's new bat speed metric had Ramos in the 90th percentile for the season -- same with his xSLG. Ramos also chipped in six steals in seven attempts as a first-time All-Star. However, the outfielder slowed down a bit in September and it came to light that he was playing through various injuries, including plantar fasciitis, which is cause for concern for a 25-year-old. The problem can recur without warning, but San Francisco needs his power bat in the lineup and the 2017 first-round pick will be given every chance to prove he can be an everyday player.
