Best NBA Bets Today (Thursday, March 5)

Trey Murphy over 26.5 points + assists (-126) at Sacramento Kings

FanDuel, 4:54 PM ET

Nick Whalen: Murphy missed five straight games to conclude February but has since played 31 and 33 minutes in each of his first two games back. The Kings are one of the best matchups in the league as a bottom-five defensive team that also ranks bottom-five in both points and assists allowed. In a blowout win over Sacramento on Feb. 9, Murphy needed only 29 minutes to post 21 points and seven assists. Even on the second night of a back-to-back, I also like the Pels to cover 5.5 on the road.

Kyle Filipowski over 25.5 points + rebounds + assists (-125) at Washington Wizards

Hard Rock, 5:24 PM ET

Alex Barutha: Keyonte George is out for this game, as is Lauri Markkanen -- per usual. That should set Filipowski up for some more usage in this soft matchup. Over the past 10 games, the Wizards are allowing the most rebounds, second-most points and fifth-most assists to opponents per 48 minutes. Filipowski is a versatile player, averaging 14/7/4 across his past seven outings.

Collin Gillespie over 4.5 assists (-148) vs. Chicago Bulls

FanDuel, 5:33 PM ET

Alex Barutha: The Bulls have a terrible defense that bleeds points and assists, which should be an opportunity for Gillespie to excel as a playmaker, especially as the surrounding team gets a bit healthier and he can focus on distributing. Since Feb. 1, Gillespie is averaging 5.1 assists.
