2026 Fantasy Outlook
Ramirez continues to be one of the most consistent elite producers in MLB, and he finished his age-32 campaign in 2025 with 30 home runs, 44 stolen bases, 85 RBI and 103 runs in 158 games. His batting average has sat between .279 and .283 (his 2025 mark) in each of the past four years, while his OPS has been north of .800 for 10 straight seasons. Ramirez's dependability extends to his availability, as he's missed 10 games or fewer in the last six regular seasons and in nine of the past 10 seasons. The veteran third baseman has shown no signs of slowing down, as evidenced by his career-high steals total in 2025. The only major limiting factor for Ramirez at this point is the lineup around him, since the Guardians scored the third-fewest runs in MLB last year and seem unlikely to significantly bolster their lineup this winter. Even with that consideration, Ramirez has been one of the most reliable top-end hitters in baseball for a while and will be near the top of draft boards again in 2026. Read Past Outlooks
Hits big milestone Saturday
Ramirez went 1-for-6 with a double, a run scored, two RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's 14-6 win over the A's.
Analysis
The steal was Ramirez's AL-leading 13th of the season and the 300th of his MLB career, making him just the second player in Cleveland franchise history to reach that milestone after Kenny Lofton. Ramirez also has 291 career homers, putting him weeks away from becoming the ninth member of the exclusive 300-300 club -- a group that includes Hall of Famers Willie Mays, Andre Dawson and Carlos Beltran, as well as Alex Rodriguez and the father and son duo of Bobby and Barry Bonds. Through 34 games this season, Ramirez is slashing .214/.336/.421 with six homers, 14 RBI and 20 runs.

Ramirez shored up his Hall of Fame case with what very well could have been a 40-40 campaign if not for a rainout on the final day of the regular season. The third baseman was an All-Star for the fourth consecutive year (sixth overall) and helped lead Cleveland to the ALCS. He's as durable as they come; Ramirez played in 158 games in 2024 and has now reached at least 152 games in seven of the last eight full MLB seasons. While he's been in the majors for over a decade, Ramirez is still just 32 years old, so he's not at the age where one might suspect the skills could drop off the table. There was some giveback with his walk rate last season, which led to a 21-point drop in OBP, and the batted-ball numbers don't jump off the page. That said, Ramirez is great at pulling flyballs, and his run production improved significantly last season with help from Steven Kwan and others around him. Fantasy managers should be thrilled to have to settle for Ramirez in the first round.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
New deal includes deferred money
Ramirez's latest extension with the Guardians includes $10 million in deferrals each year, according to Jon Heyman of the New York Post.
Analysis
Ramirez still had three years left on the seven-year deal he signed with Cleveland prior to the 2022 season, and this new contract will keep him with the franchise until the end of the 2032 campaign. The deferred money means the Guardians will have more money to spend while keeping their star third baseman around for the final years of his prime. Ramirez appeared in 158 games in the 2025 regular season, hitting .283 with an .863 OPS, 30 homers, 85 RBI, 44 stolen bases and 103 runs scored across 672 plate appearances.
