PLAYER RECOMMENDATIONS
GOALKEEPER
Roman Burki, BVB v. BEN ($5,800): Dortmund are in good shape as they look to overturn a 1-0 deficit at home against Benfica, who were able to muster just four shots in the first leg, scoring the game winner on their only shot on target. Burki is unlikely to rack up points through saves, but he's in a safe spot for guaranteed win points with the possibility of a clean sheet.
Kevin Trapp PSG at BAR ($3,900): Trapp and PSG pulled off the shocker of the UCL season with a 4-0 rout of Barcelona in the first leg. While a four-goal deficit is seemingly unsurmountable, we can expect Barcelona to come out swinging. Trapp is by no means a safe play, but he's going to be peppered with shots and stands a decent chance to make value through saves alone.
DEFENDER
Raphael Guerreiro, BVB v. BEN ($5,200): With Marco Reus suffering a thigh injury on Saturday, Guerreiro stands a good chance to see an uptick in set piece duties. He scored his fourth goal of the season in Saturday's thrashing of Bayer Leverkusen, highlighting the attacking upside he brings to the table.
Faouzi Ghoulam, NAP v. RMD ($5,000): Ghoulam managed just five fantasy points in the first leg defeat at Real Madrid, but he's back in play with Napoli playing catch up from the opening whistle. He takes the majority of Napoli's corners and has averaged over 10 crosses per game in three Serie A games since that first leg loss.
Rafinha, MUN at ARS ($4,000):Philipp Lahm is suspended, which opens up an opportunity for Rafinha to slot in at right-back. He's averaged nine fantasy points over his last three UCL starts through a healthy dose of crosses and defensive stats, and he comes at a $1K discount compared to the high-end options on the slate.
MIDFIELDER
Ousmane Dembele, BVB v. BEN ($7,700): Dembele compiled 11 fantasy points at Benfica in the first leg through shots and crosses alone. He has five assists in seven UCL appearances this season, and with Dortmund playing from behind, Dembele is in a good spot to continue to produce.
Dries Mertens, NAP v. RMD ($7,500): Napoli are tasked with overturning a 3-1 deficit versus Real Madrid if they are to advance to the quarterfinal. While Mertens was held to a meager five fantasy points in the first leg, he can be Napoli's lifeline with a big performance in the second leg. He's scored 22 goals and added six assists in 23 games across all competitions this season.
Pizzi, BEN at BVB ($5,100):Pizzi, scored the game winner and sent in six crosses in Saturday's 1-0 Primeria Liga win. He's not a flashy play but has averaged eight fantasy points across his last four UCL appearances. You know what you're going to get with Pizzi, for the most part, and for $5,100 he brings value to a lineup in addition to consistency.
FORWARD
Lionel Messi and/or Neymar, BAR v. PSG ($11,400/$10,300): Messi was held to one shot and managed a lackluster four fantasy points in the first leg loss to PSG. He has since reeled off at least one goal in four straight games, averaging 31 fantasy points per appearance over that span. Neymar, meanwhile, came up with 12 fantasy points in the thrashing at PSG, highlighting his cash game floor despite being shut out. Facing a 4-0 deficit and on the brink of elimination, Barcelona's motivation is a valid concern. They will no doubt push for an early goal, and if they can get two before the half, things could get very interesting.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, BVB v. BEN ($8,500): Aubameyang became Dortmund's all-time leading scorer with a brace over the weekend, and he leads Germany's top flight with 21 goals on the season. With Dortmund looking to overturn a one-goal deficit at home, Aubameyang will be counted on to continue his goal-scoring tear.
