Step 1 in building a good lineup: make sure your players starting. There is a bit of guesswork in projecting lineups until they are actually announced, and all recommendations and projections are subject to change based on this. All said, be sure to check out the lineups page approximately one hour prior to kickoff.

Joe Hart ($5,700): Cash games, take him, end of story. At 2/9, almost regardless of the price, Hart is the easy play. Of course, taking down a GPP is a different beast entirely.

Adrian ($4,900): Sunderland is last of 20 and has failed to win a match in the Premier League this season. West Ham, however, has been playing fantastic football and find themselves in third. Adrian's ability in goal is a big reason for this, averaging over five saves per game. That's double-digit points without even touching clean sheet and win bonuses.

Jordan Amavi ($4,500):Aleksandar Kolarov is just so expensive and his production levels haven't been as high of late. Amavi is averaging 11.67 fantasy points per game at home this season and has two assists in his last four outings.

Aleksander Kolarov ($6,600): He's the most expensive defender, and deservedly so, but I admittedly don't dig the price. There is more value to be found elsewhere at the position, but Kolarov is probably a fixture in cash games.

Other defenders to consider:Pablo Zabaleta ($4,000) or Bacary Sagna ($4,700), Simon Francis ($4,400), Alan Hutton ($4,000), Charlie Daniels ($4,600)

Almen Abdi ($4,200): Known mostly as a provider, Abdi provides much needed salary relief at a more-than-affordable price. His 12 fantasy points last time out against Crystal Palace may seem like an anomaly in comparison to his prior stat lines, but it is just as likely that this is the beginning of a trend. He's very active in the Watford attack and attaining more than just peripheral stats is just a matter of time.

Dimitri Payet ($8,700): The favorable matchup against Sunderland needs little explanation. In fact, Payet's viability needs very little. The one conceivable knock would be that he's been less effective away from home, but you could very easily attribute that to the fact that his away matches have been against Arsenal, Liverpool and Man City.

Kevin De Bruyne ($7,300): After being the scorer of both of City's goals in his two Premier League starts, the price finally takes a much needed hike (but not enough). With David Silva back in the lineup, De Bruyne will likely play from the wing, which actually raises his floor with a higher likelihood of crosses.

Other midfielders to consider:Robbie Brady ($5,000), Marc Pugh ($4,500), Raheem Sterling ($8,200), Riyad Mahrez ($10,100), Eden Hazard ($10,200), Dusan Tadic ($9,600)

Diafra Sakho ($8,500): Over his last four Premier League matches, Sakho has three goals while averaging 3.75 shots (1.5 on goal), one cross and twp fouls drawn per match. Opponent, Sunderland, finds themselves winless at the bottom of the Premier League table.

Sergio Aguero ($11,000): Aguero finally broke through at midweek in the Champions League with a game-clinching goal over German side Borussia Monchengladbach. After a decisive loss to Tottenham last weekend, the best striker in the Premier League will look to both regain and retain top form against a winless Newcastle side.

Rudy Gestede ($5,300): Villa may have just four points all season, but opponent Stoke City finds themselves just one place higher with six. Gestede comes off an impressive brace at Liverpool last time out, and considering the constant threat he's been, it was no fluke.

Other forwards to consider:Jaime Vardy ($9,000), Odion Ighalo ($7,200), Glenn Murray ($5,000), Pedro ($8,500)
