2025 Fantasy Outlook
Ostapchuk was acquired by the Sharks from Ottawa at the trade deadline and spent the rest of the NHL regular season with San Jose before joining AHL San Jose for the playoffs. The 22-year-old didn’t have a single point in any of his 19 combined appearances with the San Jose teams, but he did have four points in 43 appearances with the Senators as well as 11 points in 15 games with AHL Belleville. The young forward does have more appeal in physical categories -- he finished the 2024-25 regular season with 45 PIM and 110 hits across his 56 outings with the Sharks and Senators. However, he’s far from a safe bet to make the Sharks’ roster out of training camp, and even if he does, he likely won’t get enough work to make much of a meaningful impact.
