2026 Fantasy Outlook
Gesicki was limited to 28 catches for 307 yards and two TDs in 13 games in 2025, a far cry from his 65-665-2 line in his first year with the Bengals in the preceding season. He accounted for only 42 of the 129 targets among Cincinnati’s TEs, with Noah Fant right behind Gesicki at 41 targets. Fant signed with the Saints in the offseason, so Gesicki should be back atop the depth chart in 2026. Gesicki’s shortcomings as a blocker will continue to limit his playing time, as his snap share was just 46 percent in 2024 and fell to 38 percent in 2025. On the flipside, it’s a safe bet that Gesicki will be going out to catch a pass when he’s on the field, as he ran a route on 83.4 percent of snaps last season, which was the highest rate among all NFL TEs. Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins and Chase Brown should continue to pace the Bengals’ offense, but Gesicki has posted at least 665 receiving yards in three of his eight NFL seasons and has enough receiving skills to contribute meaningfully as a secondary option in a Cincinnati passing attack that’s arguably the best in the NFL when Joe Burrow’s healthy. Prior to missing four games due to a pectoral injury in 2025, Gesicki hadn’t missed a game in his career. Read Past Outlooks
Back for Year 3 with Bengals
As the coming season approaches, Gesicki profiles as the main receiving option in a Bengals tight end corps that also features Drew Sample, who makes most of his impact as an inline blocker, John Sheeran of A to Z Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Also competing for TE slotting are Erick All (knee), Tanner Hudson, Jack Endries, Cam Grandy and Josh Kattus. Gesicki saw his production drop last season to 28 catches (on 42 targets) for 307 yards and two TDs in 13 regular-season games, down from the 65-665-2 line he posted in 2024, his first year with Cincinnati. Four missed games of his own, along with injuries limiting star QB Joe Burrow to eight regular-season appearances in 2025, didn't help Gesicki's cause, but with Noah Fant (34 catches on 41 targets) no longer in the mix, Gesicki has a chance to rebound as a secondary target with some streaming utility in a 2026 passing attack that will continue to lean heavily on WRs Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, as well as RB Chase Brown.

Gesicki re-signed with the Bengals in March for three years and $25.5 million, after catching 65 passes for 665 yards and two TDs on 83 targets in 2024, ranking eighth among tight ends in receptions and 10th in yards. He had only 606 receiving yards over the preceding two seasons combined while playing for the Dolphins and Patriots, but that was after he topped 700 yards in both 2020 and 2021 with Miami. The new contract keeps him in one of the NFL's top passing offenses, albeit as a distant third option behind WRs Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. Only 10 of Gesicki’s 83 targets last season came in the red zone, and he has just 22 touchdowns through seven NFL seasons, in part because subpar blocking often keeps him off the field near the goal line. On the other hand, availability has been a strong point for the 6-foot-6 TE, playing 115 of a possible 116 regular-season games since he entered the NFL in 2018 as a second-round pick.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Bigger role sans Fant?
Gesicki could have a larger role in the Bengals' offense against the Broncos on Monday due to the absence of Noah Fant, Ben Baby of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Fant was unable to practice all week while in the league's concussion protocol, which leaves Gesicki and Drew Sample as the Bengals' top tight ends on the active roster. Gesicki earned himself a three-year, $25.5 million contract from the Bengals in March after a strong 2024 campaign, but the eighth-year tight end has just five catches on 10 targets for 38 yards through the first three games of the 2025 regular season. The absence of Fant could pave the way for Gesicki to be more involved in the Bengals' offense in Monday night's AFC tilt.
