Malik Benson

23-Year-Old Wide ReceiverWR
2026 Fantasy Outlook
The Raiders took Benson in the sixth round this spring, giving him a fifth home in five years after he transferred from Hutchinson Community College (977 yards) to Alabama (162 yards) to Florida State (311) to Oregon (719). The forward progress in his FBS production was a good sign, but the late start means Benson will turn 24 in October of his rookie season, reducing the value of his 4.37 40 at the 2026 Combine. He's also thin, at 6-feet, 189, yet managed just 32.5 inches in the vertical jump. In Las Vegas, the rookie will first have to earn a roster spot, but from there he'd be looking at one of the weakest WR depth charts in the league. There are worse picks one could make in Round 5 of a dynasty rookie draft... but there might also be better ones. Read Past Outlooks

The Raiders selected Benson in the sixth round of the 2026 NFL Draft, 195th overall.
ANALYSIS
Benson was well-traveled during his college career, beginning with two seasons of community college before making one-year stops at Alabama, Florida State and Oregon to round out his career. Benson did, at least, save his best season for last in Eugene in 2025, racking up 43 catches for 719 yards and six touchdowns, all career-best marks. He's a bit slender at 6-foot, 189 pounds, but the 23-year-old wideout ran among the better 40 times for wideouts with a 4.37 mark. Benson claims solid range and ball skills but needs work on his route running and to add muscle. Benson has some history as a return man for the Ducks and will likely need to contribute on special teams in Las Vegas.

Good fit in Philadelphia?
WRFree Agent
April 11, 2026
With A.J. Brown's time in Philadelphia seemingly coming to an end, Brooks Kubena of The Athletic believes that the Eagles could look to grab Benson on Day 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft.
ANALYSIS
The Eagles acquired Dontayvion Wicks from the Packers on Friday, but Philadelphia may look to add to its wide receiver room through the draft. Benson played for four different schools during his five-year college career and suited up for Oregon in 2025, when he logged 43 catches for 719 yards and six touchdowns across 13 games, nine of which he started. Dane Brugler of The Athletic profiles Benson as a "deep-ball weapon" that is a vertical threat thanks to his speed, though he'll need to work on his separation in order to deal with NFL-level coverage.
