2025 Fantasy Outlook
Moore broke through in 2023, his sixth pro season, with career highs for catches (96), receiving yards (1,364) and TDs (nine) while catching passes from Justin Fields in an otherwise subpar offense. Mediocre though he may be, Fields arguably was the best QB that Moore had played with since entering the NFL in 2018 at the end of Cam Newton's run in Carolina. No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams looked to Moore plenty last season, with 140 targets being the second most of his career, but they overwhelmingly connected on short passes as Moore's aDOT (7.5) and yards per catch (9.9) fell more than 15 percent below his previous career lows. His 39 targets behind the line of scrimmage were the most for any wide receiver, with 27 of those coming over the final eight games after OC Shane Waldron was fired (and replaced by Thomas Brown). The Bears moved on from Brown this offseason, and also from WR Keenan Allen, later drafting TE Coltson Loveland at No. 10 overall and WR Luther Burden at No. 39 to ensure new head coach Ben Johnson will have plenty of weapons at his disposal. Johnson's work in Detroit was about as encouraging as it gets, and the Bears also acquired three new veteran starters for the interior O-line. If Williams isn't a bust it'll be the best situation Moore's ever been in, albeit with tougher target competition relative to his excellent 2023. The biggest concern at this point is that Williams might not be good, with his 68 sacks as a rookie stretching far beyond acceptable levels even for a rookie QB with poor blocking. Read Past Outlooks

Limited Tuesday with knee issue
Moore was listed as a limited participant in Tuesday's walkthrough practice due to a knee injury.
ANALYSIS
The knee issue is a new concern for Moore, whose most recent appearance on a Bears injury report came back in Week 17, when he was battling an illness. After putting in a limited session Tuesday, Moore will have two more chances to potentially upgrade his practice activity and clear up any concern about his availability for Saturday's wild-card game versus the Packers. Moore suited up for all 17 of the Bears' games during the regular season, accounting for seven total touchdowns (six receiving, one rushing) while producing 682 yards on 50 catches and 79 yards on 15 rushing attempts.

Moore topped 940 yards from scrimmage in each of his five seasons with the Panthers, but he never went higher than 1,215 yards and averaged just 4.2 TDs. Change was needed for him to take the next step as a fantasy asset, and that's exactly what happened after an offseason trade in 2023 even though the Bears offense struggled on the whole. Moore averaged 8.0 targets per game, which was was actually slightly less than the 8.3 he averaged over his four non-rookie years in Carolina, more than making up for it with career highs for catch rate (70.6 percent), catches (96), total yards (1,385) and touchdowns (nine). That, after three straight seasons with a catch rate below 58 percent in miserable Carolina offenses. The Bears' passing game overall was a different story, with Moore and TE Cole Kmet combining for 47 percent of targets and 61 percent of receiving yards. Justin Fields and backup QB Tyson Bagent averaged 5.3 yards per attempt on throws to all other players. That'll be less of a problem after the Bears traded for WR Keenan Allen, drafted WR Rome Odunze ninth overall and signed TE Gerald Everett and RB D'Andre Swift, though Fields won't be the one to benefit, as the trade that secured Moore in the first place now pairs him with mega-prospect Caleb Williams. The increase in target competition figures to end Moore's three-year streak earning at least 27.5 percent of his team's passes, but there should be more volume to go around overall with Williams replacing the sack/scramble-happy Fields.

Trade candidate in 2026?
Moore is in the midst of his least productive season since his rookie campaign in 2018, and his base salary owed through 2029 makes him a trade candidate in the offseason, Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic notes.
ANALYSIS
Moore has been held to two catches or less in three of his last five games and has caught 39 passes on 66 targets for 498 yards and three touchdowns through 13 regular-season games. That kind of production doesn't live up to his $28.5 million cap hit in 2026 -- eighth most among wide receivers -- and it appears he is losing out on his role in the offense to young pass catchers that include second-year wideout Rome Odunze and rookies Luther Burden and Colston Loveland. Moore has four weeks left in the regular season to flip the script, starting Sunday against the Browns.
