2025 Fantasy Outlook
The Bears traded Moore to Buffalo early this offseason, following a 2025 campaign in which he took a backseat to Chicago's other pass catchers en route to career lows for catches (50) and receiving yards (682). Bears coach Ben Johnson praised Moore for adapting to a lower-volume role, but Chicago fans didn't necessarily agree with that assessment, especially after Moore ran a lackadaisical route that contributed to an overtime interception during a playoff loss. He's 29 now, heading to his third team for his ninth pro season, and while his 4.42 speed (2018 Combine) mostly appears intact, it's fair to wonder if Moore's best days are behind him. The Bills don't think so, having given up the 60th overall draft pick in exchange for Moore, his considerable contract and a fifth-round pick. It's a long-term commitment, with the Bills agreeing to guarantee $15.5 million of Moore's $23.5 million salary... in 2028. He also has full guarantees for the next two seasons, so the Bills truly are making a big bet, albeit at a price level that's closer to WR2 money than WR1 range. Read Past Outlooks

Getting traded to Buffalo
The Bears agreed to trade Moore to the Bills on Thursday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, Buffalo will send a second-round draft pick to Chicago in exchange for Moore and 2026 fifth-round pick.
ANALYSIS
Moore should instantly slot in as the top receiving option for Josh Allen under head coach Joe Brady. The veteran wide receiver had at least 1,157 receiving yards in both the 2020 and 2021 regular seasons with the Panthers, where Brady was the offensive coordinator at the time. Moore's 682 regular-season receiving yards with the Bears in 2025 marked the lowest total of his eight-year career, as he lost target share to recent draft picks Rome Odunze, Luther Burden and Colston Loveland (concussion). Khalil Shakir led the Bills in targets and receiving yards each of the past two regular seasons, compiling 148 catches for 1,540 receiving yards on 195 targets over that span.

Moore topped 940 yards from scrimmage in each of his five seasons with the Panthers, but he never went higher than 1,215 yards and averaged just 4.2 TDs. Change was needed for him to take the next step as a fantasy asset, and that's exactly what happened after an offseason trade in 2023 even though the Bears offense struggled on the whole. Moore averaged 8.0 targets per game, which was was actually slightly less than the 8.3 he averaged over his four non-rookie years in Carolina, more than making up for it with career highs for catch rate (70.6 percent), catches (96), total yards (1,385) and touchdowns (nine). That, after three straight seasons with a catch rate below 58 percent in miserable Carolina offenses. The Bears' passing game overall was a different story, with Moore and TE Cole Kmet combining for 47 percent of targets and 61 percent of receiving yards. Justin Fields and backup QB Tyson Bagent averaged 5.3 yards per attempt on throws to all other players. That'll be less of a problem after the Bears traded for WR Keenan Allen, drafted WR Rome Odunze ninth overall and signed TE Gerald Everett and RB D'Andre Swift, though Fields won't be the one to benefit, as the trade that secured Moore in the first place now pairs him with mega-prospect Caleb Williams. The increase in target competition figures to end Moore's three-year streak earning at least 27.5 percent of his team's passes, but there should be more volume to go around overall with Williams replacing the sack/scramble-happy Fields.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Bears lauded for trade
Seth Walder of ESPN.com assigns the Bears an A grade for their trade of Moore to the Bills earlier this offseason.
ANALYSIS
Walder notes Moore already looked like he'd be a trade candidate once the offseason began, considering he was suspected of giving poor effort on Caleb Williams' game-sealing overtime interception during a divisional-round loss to the Rams and had underwhelmed overall in the last two seasons. With the younger trio of Rome Odunze, Luther Burden and Colston Loveland deemed the future of the air attack -- and the Bears unloading significant guaranteed money without taking on any additional cap charges -- Walder surmises Chicago maximized its end of the transaction.
