2026 Fantasy Outlook
The Bears traded Moore to Buffalo early this offseason, following a 2025 campaign in which he took a backseat to Chicago's other pass catchers en route to career lows for catches (50) and receiving yards (682). Bears coach Ben Johnson praised Moore for adapting to a lower-volume role, but Chicago fans didn't necessarily agree with that assessment, especially after Moore ran a lackadaisical route that contributed to an overtime interception during a playoff loss. He's 29 now, heading to his third team for his ninth pro season, and while his 4.42 speed (2018 Combine) mostly appears intact, it's fair to wonder if Moore's best days are behind him. The Bills don't think so, having given up the 60th overall draft pick in exchange for Moore, his considerable contract and a fifth-round pick. It's a long-term commitment, with the Bills agreeing to guarantee $15.5 million of Moore's $23.5 million salary... in 2028. He also has full guarantees for the next two seasons, so the Bills truly are making a big bet, albeit at a price level that's closer to WR2 money than WR1 range. Read Past Outlooks

Settling in as Allen's top target
Quarterback Josh Allen said in late June that Moore has been "a pretty seamless fit" and is "going to be a huge help" for Buffalo's offense in 2026, Nick Shook of NFL.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore was acquired by the Bills from Chicago in March for a second-round pick, and the 29-year-old veteran steps into a new wide receiver room alongside Khalil Shakir to provide Allen a true proven No. 1 receiver for the first time since Stefon Diggs' departure back in 2024. Catching passes from one of the NFL's premier quarterbacks will aid Moore as he looks to bounce back from a down 2025 season with the Bears, in which he totaled a career-worst 50-682-6 receiving line despite suiting up for all 17 regular-season games. Moore faces less competition for targets in Buffalo, as behind Shakir and tight end Dalton Kincaid, the likes of Joshua Palmer, Keon Coleman and Skyler Bell fill out the team's receiver corps. If Moore can demonstrate that he hasn't lost a step at age 29, he'll be in position to bounce back in 2026 even if his best days are behind him.

Moore broke through in 2023, his sixth pro season, with career highs for catches (96), receiving yards (1,364) and TDs (nine) while catching passes from Justin Fields in an otherwise subpar offense. Mediocre though he may be, Fields arguably was the best QB that Moore had played with since entering the NFL in 2018 at the end of Cam Newton's run in Carolina. No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams looked to Moore plenty last season, with 140 targets being the second most of his career, but they overwhelmingly connected on short passes as Moore's aDOT (7.5) and yards per catch (9.9) fell more than 15 percent below his previous career lows. His 39 targets behind the line of scrimmage were the most for any wide receiver, with 27 of those coming over the final eight games after OC Shane Waldron was fired (and replaced by Thomas Brown). The Bears moved on from Brown this offseason, and also from WR Keenan Allen, later drafting TE Coltson Loveland at No. 10 overall and WR Luther Burden at No. 39 to ensure new head coach Ben Johnson will have plenty of weapons at his disposal. Johnson's work in Detroit was about as encouraging as it gets, and the Bears also acquired three new veteran starters for the interior O-line. If Williams isn't a bust it'll be the best situation Moore's ever been in, albeit with tougher target competition relative to his excellent 2023. The biggest concern at this point is that Williams might not be good, with his 68 sacks as a rookie stretching far beyond acceptable levels even for a rookie QB with poor blocking.

Impressing new OC in OTAs
Moore has caught the eye of new offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael during the Bills' OTAs, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Carmichael is new to the Bills but very familiar with rookie head coach Joe Brady, who worked under Carmichael on the Saints' staff during the 2017 and 2018 seasons. When commenting on how the offense is coming along in the learning curve for his scheme, Carmichael singled out Moore, who was traded from the Bears on March 5, as very "smooth" and noted the veteran wideout's speed is deceptive. "He comes off the ball, and sometimes it feels like all of a sudden, he's by guys," Carmichael said.
