Projected starters
RHP Min Woo Kim (0-3, 4.28 ERA) vs Kyung-eun Noh (1-2, 6.58 ERA)
Game Preview
The Giants continued their rise up the standings and pushed their winning run to four contests following Tuesday's 9-3 victory over a struggling Eagles team. Meanwhile, the Eagles are stuck at the bottom of the KBO standings with a 7-24 record and have dropped 15 straight games in a row. The Giants will try to win the second game of the series this Wednesday by sending Kyung-eun Noh to the mound. The 36-year-old veteran, however, has an ERA of 6.58 and has allowed at least three earned runs in each of his last three outings. The Eagles will counter with Min Woo Kim, who has a more respectable 4.28 ERA, though he's allowed at least four earned runs in each of his last two starts.
Injuries
Ju Seok Ha – Eagles – 10-Day IL – Thigh
June 2 - Eagles manager Yong-duk Han admitted Tuesday that Ha (thigh) is recovering from his injury slower than anticipated and will likely be sidelined until July, The Chosun Ilbo reports. When Ha injured his right thigh in a May 17 game, the Eagles were optimistic that he would complete his rehab in four weeks and rejoin the club around mid-to-late June. The shortstop's recovery timeline now looks like it will fall more in the six-week range, if not longer, given his lack

The shortstop's recovery timeline now looks like it will fall more in the six-week range, if not longer, given his lack of progress to date. Ha's ongoing absence should continue to open up regular work for Si Hwan Noh in the middle infield.
Sun Jin Oh – Eagles – 10-Day IL – Thigh
June 2 - Eagles manager Yong-duk Han said Tuesday that Oh (thigh) is recovering from his injury slower than anticipated and will likely be sidelined until July, The Chosun Ilbo reports. Hanwha has been down its top two shortstops in Ju Seok Ha and Oh since mid-May while both have battled thigh injuries, opening up regular work in the middle infield for Si Hwan Noh. Though Ha and Oh were both expected to require only four weeks to heal up from their respective injuries, the limited progress both players have made to date appears to have prompted Hanwha to push their recovery timelines back to at least six weeks. Before going down with the injury, Oh went 9-for-26 with a home run, two doubles and five RBI in nine games with Hanwha.
Hoon Jeong – Giants – 10-Day IL – Abdomen
June 3 - Giants manager Mun-hoe Her said Monday Wednesday that Jeong is coming along faster than expected in his recovery from a ruptured inner abdominal muscle, Sang Kyung Park of The Chosun Ilbo reports. Her estimated that Jeong was about "80 to 90 percent" recovered from the injury, with his rapid progress coming as a pleasant surprise after the Giants initially expected him to miss at least four weeks when he got hurt May 15. Jeong could still be sent to the Futures League for a rehab game or two before rejoining the Giants, but based on the comments from Her, it sounds like the 32-year-old could be back with the big club in about a week or so.
Byung Hun Min – Giants – 10-Day IL – Ribs
June 6 - Min was placed on the injured list Saturday with soreness in his ribs, Ik-rae Choi of The Dong-A Ilbo reports. It seemed Min was simply getting a day off when he was held out Friday, but it now turns out he is dealing with an injury. He will undergo more tests Monday, which will help determine how long he will be sidelined.
Hanwha Eagles Expected Lineup:
SP - Min Woo Kim
1. Yong-Kyu Lee
2. Eun Won Jung
3. In Ho Choi

2. Jun Woo Jeon
3. Chi Hong An
4. Dae-Ho Lee
5. Yoon Suk Oh
6. Il Heo
7. Dong Hee Han
8. Bo Geun Jung
Top picks:
Dae-Ho Lee, Giants: Lee is among the Giants' leaders in most offensive stats, including batting average (.333) and slugging percentage (.509). He homered during Tuesday's matchup and now has three long balls in his last seven games.
Ah Seop Son, Giants: Son racked up three hits during Tuesday's contest and has now hit safely in nine of Lotte's past 10 games. He owns a .333/.404/.429 slash line during that 10-game span, walking five times and striking out just twice.
Jared Hoying, Eagles: The Eagles made several personnel changes ahead of Tuesday's contest, and it's hard to find a reliable player who can produce day in and day out. Hoying went 1-for-4 with a home run during Tuesday's contest and could be that guy, even though he is hitting just .211/.253/.378 through 95 plate appearances this season.
Kyung-eun Noh, Giants: Noh allowed six runs in his previous start, but he couldn't receive a better chance for a bounce-back performance than facing the weakest team of the league at home. He averages a mediocre 1.9 K/BB ratio this season, but that might change against Hanwha's struggling bats.
Captaincy Options:
1. Dae-Ho Lee
2. Ah Seop Son
3. Jared Hoying
