EuroLeague Basketball Picks: Best Bets for Round 24 - Thursday

Best EuroLeague Bets for Thursday, Jan. 22

All odds for EuroLeague player props current as of 7:15 AM ET Thursday.

PICKS TO CLICK

Richaun Holmes 12+ Points (-112 DraftKings)

If you don't like Holmes in particular, I get it, but if Thursday's matchup with Maccabi is competitive there will likely be several Panathinaikos players who top their props given how the opponent plays. As such, if you attack this matchup from another angle I'm on board.

I'm sticking with the big guy Thursday. Since Holmes rejoined the starting lineup in Round 20 he has put up 14, 16, 11, and 12 points, and this will his most appealing matchup yet. With Omer Yurtseven falling out of favor, the role should remain steady for Holmes.

Shavon Shields Over 15.5 Points+Assists (+100 bet365)

I don't make a habit of targeting players against Zalgiris, but with Shields coming off a down night and this game being played in Italy, that's enough for me to make this play.

Shields is fully capable of going over in the points column alone, and the assists provide a nice safety net. He dropped five dimes in the last matchup with Zalgiris, and like they will Thursday Milan had its best backcourt players available. The usage should not look any different for Shields.

Jimmy Clark III Over 11.5 Points+Assists (-112 bet365)

Lonnie Walker IV -- per RotoWire's EuroLeague Injury Report -- will remain sidelined, and although Jeff Dowtin is back I think there is still a role for Clark.

Clark has started the last two EuroLeague games in Walker's place and put up 17 points and five assists in Zalgiris in Round 22 and nine points and four assists Tuesday. That's too shabby for a guy getting only around 20 minutes. The usage has been strong, and there's a chance the playing time could expand given how effective he has been.

PARLAY TO PLAY

PJ Dozier 12+ Points + Dwayne Bacon 15+ Points (+705 DraftKings)

Be advised -- this is not a full-unit play. I would suggest scaling this back to a half unit or less, and personally I'm only going with a quarter unit.

Bacon is coming off a quiet night, and he is no longer as ball-dominant with Dzanan Musa back, but he tries to fill the alpha role any time he takes the court. Dozier and the Efes backcourt can be frustrating even with Shane Larkin and Jordan Loyd unavailable, but he has done enough to allow me to take a chance on a ceiling performance.
