FACEIT, one of the first tournament organizers in the CS:GO community, is bringing the first UK-based CS:GO Major to London this fall. Taking place at the SSE Arena, Wembley from September 20-23, the FACEIT London Major will boast a $1 million prize pool with 24 of the best teams in the world battling it out in London.
"The community has been at the heart of everything we do at FACEIT, and we're so grateful for the support of the players on our platform and those who've attended and watched ECS," said Michele Attisani, Chief Business Officer and Co-Founder of FACEIT. "We're excited to create an amazing celebration of CS:GO to honor that commitment. We look forward to seeing everyone there in September."
While many majors feature qualifiers run by a variety of organizations, FACEIT will be hosting the entire Major from start to finish. This includes all qualifiers from all regions, live minor tournaments and the live Finals at the SSE Arena, Wembley. FACEIT is seeking to bring a level of consistency we have yet to see from a Major up to this point.
In addition to the Finals itself, FACEIT is a multitude of ways for fans live in attendance and online during the broadcast. Local activities at the CS:GO-themed SSE Arena, Wembley and dedicated feature for the onlines broadcast seek to bolster the fan experience from all angles.
Tickets for the FACEIT London Major will go on sale on April 2. More information on the Major can be found on the official site at www.faceitmajor.com.
