DraftKings LoL: Sunday LCK/LPL Cheatsheet

Games (EDT)

• 4:00 a.m: Afreeca Freecs (AF) vs. DragonX (DRX)
• 5:00 a.m: Li-Ning Gaming (LNG) vs. Vici Gaming (VG)
• 6:50 a.m: Jingdong Gaming (JDG) vs. Rogue Warriors (RW)
• 7:00 a.m: T1 (T1) vs. Sandbox Gaming (SB)

AF vs. DRX

Afreeca started the season hot and looked like they were on their way to upsetting T1 earlier this week before getting stomped in the final two games. Their two wins have come against a newly promoted side in Dynamics and a Sandbox side that looks like one of the two worst teams in the league. I think DragonX are superior and should get the win Sunday, as they're one of the best teams in the LCK this split. DragonX players do provide some decent salary relief from the other favorites, but I'd be a little concerned about how bloody this series will be. It should be a DragonX sweep, but I wouldn't be opposed to using Afreeca in one lineup if you're doing multiple entries; the team is talented, but they are typically overmatched by the top sides in the league. 

Prediction: DRX 2-0

• AF Players to Target: Kiin ($5,400), Mystic ($6,800), AF Team ($4,400)
• DRX Players to Target: Chovy ($7,000), Deft ($7,800), Keria ($5,800), DRX Team ($5,400)

LNG vs. VG

I had higher hopes for Vici entering the split and thought that they should be in the hunt for one of the final playoff spots. So far they're just kind of middling and are coming off of two sweeps at the hands of RNG and WE. I think this is a "get right" spot for Vici and I'm happy to see they are priced as slight underdogs in most roles. LNG had a surprising sweep of RNG two weeks ago, but since then they've been swept themselves by EStar and most recently by a poor performing OMG. I think this is probably a close series that both teams have a chance to win, but I'm going to lean in Vici's favor. Make sure to check lineups to see whether Forge or Zeka starts for Vici in the mid lane, as well as Aix or Leyan in the jungle.

Prediction: VG 2-1

• LNG Players to Target: Maple ($7,200), Light ($7,600), Duan ($4,800)
• VG Players to Target: Cube ($5,800), Leyan ($6,200)/Aix ($6,000), iBoy ($7,400), Vici Team ($5,000)

JDG vs. RW

This should be a one sided stomp, as even though JDG aren't performing at the same level that we saw them at in the Spring, Rogue Warriors are one of the worst teams in the LPL. The only real question is whether JDG pay off their lofty salaries. I'm not fully convinced they will because less resistance from Rogue Warriors could result in quicker games, equaling fewer kills. JDG have the fifth-lowest kill total in the LPL this split, though in fairness they've only played nine games. 

Prediction: JDG 2-0

• JDG Players to Target: Kanavi ($7,400), YaGao ($7,600), Loken ($8,000), JDG Team ($5,600)
• RW Players to Target: None

T1 vs. SB 

The main reason I won't be too heavy on JDG is because if I'm paying all the way up, I'd rather use T1. While a similar argument could be made about the lack of resistance, T1 are pushing the pace this season and, unlike JDG, lead their league in kills with 121 in just nine games. Sandbox look like the worst team in the league, along with HLE, after being one of the worst teams in the spring as well. They're dying regularly, and this could be a series that T1 push for 20 kills in both games. The only scary thing about T1 is the concern for regular starters sitting out the series, and with this being the late game we will not know their lineup before roster lock. The biggest concern positions are between Cuzz/Ellim in the jungle and Effort/Kuri at support. Canna, Faker and Teddy should all start and play the entirety of the series. 

Prediction: T1 2-0
