DraftKings LoL: Saturday LEC Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings League of Legends series.

Games (EDT)

  • 11:00 a.m. FC Schalke 04 vs. SK Gaming
  • 11:50 a.m. Rogue Excel vs Excel Esports
  • 12:40 p.m. Origen vs. Misfits
  • 1:30 p.m. Fnatic vs. Vitality
  • 2:20 p.m. G2 vs. MAD Lions

S04 vs. SK

Coming back from the break, SK Gaming did not miss a beat and took it to Vitality. SK were dominant on the Rift as they played very well on the side lanes, around objectives and in teamfights. This is a pretty simple game as Schalke 04 still have no clue how to draft and their early game is still abysmal. This is a team, on average, that gives up three kills within the first eight minutes of the game and their death per loss are around 15.5. This is a safe cash game play with potential upside if S04 can make it close,

Prediction: SK Win

SK Players to Target: Crownshot ($7,400), Zazee ($6,800), Limit ($5,000)

Rogue vs. XL

I really liked Excel's early game as they were able to keep it close enough against MAD Lions until the mid to late game. Excel's mid to late game has been pretty bad, as they give up on average three drakes to one, and five turrets to one. Rogue is similar to MAD who like to play in the mid to late game and are one of the cleaner teams in the league, and even with off time they started where they left off. Rogue is first in the league in regards to first turret

Rogue is first in the league in regards to first turret as well as first to three turrets, and that is the biggest issue with xL in the mid game. If xL can't get ahead early and snowball Rogue, it will be a tough time for them to come back like in the game against MAD.

Prediction: Rogue Win

Rogue Players to Target: Larsse ($7,600), Inspired ($6,600)

OG vs. MSF

This is going to be a slow game that I am staying away from the most part, but these are two teams that have opposite styles. OG was able to beat G2 on Friday, and that was more of Perkz not playing well with his two weeks away from the team. Misfits, on the other hand, threw their game after having dragon soul and a 10-3 kill lead going into the late game. I still believe Jactroll is one of the worst support players in the league and he didn't show much Friday as OG used their summoner spells well in fights and ganks. They are a team that punishes mistakes as we saw with Perkz, and Misfits make a lot of them in the late game. This has been an issue since the start of the split where they get massive leads and then throw the game away because of their proactivity. If Misfits can't address their late game problem OG should have no problem taking this game with a slow macro play.

Prediction: OG Win

OG Players to Target: Upset ($7,800)

FNC vs. Vitality

Both of these teams look awful coming back from the break, and Fnatic has a lot of major issues to work on. Between shot calling, teamfights and macro, this is too good of a team to be losing to majority of these teams. Hylissang continues to hold this team back with his calls and setups during teamfights. When Hylissang gets caught out it holds up Rekkles' chance to get ahead, shutting down the team's early game. Vitality, on the other hand, were able to fight back a little in the mid to late game, but SK was too clean for them. I still believe Vitality are a decent team for being at the bottom of the league, and this is a spot where they can bring some tempo into this game to punish how bad Fnatic has been playing. If Vitality can play through bot side and force Rekkles to play from behind, I believe Vitality has a fighting chance in the late game where they struggle.

Prediction: Vitality Win

Vitality Players to Target: Everyone

G2 vs. MAD

Perkz played LoL like he never played before even with a first blood on the topside for G2. OG drafted TK support, a feast or famine type champion who can be really strong in the right hands and G2's inability to counter that falls on the onus of its coaching staff. MAD had a fumble in the early game, but were able to win outright by grabbing objectives and setting up for dragon to give them a decent gold lead for them to snowball xL in the mid game. MAD had moments where they could of been behind gold if xL played around objectives more, and I'm so bullish on G2 that they can punish MAD for their lack of early game. G2 tend to play the scaling game, but Jankos has one of the best first blood rates in the league while G2 has the third best first dragon rate behind Vitality and SK. As long as G2 can draft a safe laner for Perkz while playing around objectives, I can see G2 running away with the early game and snowball MAD to losing. G2 is good enough to beat anyone in the league, and even with how good MAD have been playing, G2 can still crush games in any given moment.

Prediction: G2 Win

G2 Players to Target: Everyone
