• 3:00 p.m: Yeah (Yeah) vs. Triumph (Tri)
• 3:00 p.m: TeamOne (T1) vs. Envy (nV)

Chaos vs. MiBR

The first match of Monday's cs_summit6 slate is between the Brazilians of MiBR and the volatile North American side of Chaos. This match looks to be the closest of the day and should still end up being quite one-sided. Chaos have shown strong upset potential, especially in North American lower levels, but they have struggled to make an international presence. MiBR have looked strong in BLAST Spring and are the heavy favorites, especially with excellent form from fer and FalleN; barring a miracle they should have the heavy edge Monday. The veto should heavily favor MiBR, with Chaos' home map, Overpass, being the only one where the North American's have an advantage. Outside of that, expect MiBR to lean towards Dust2 and Inferno, two maps where they should have a comfortable advantage over Chaos. The key turn for Chaos could be leaf and Xeppaa, who would need to produce excellence to upset MiBR. Chaos will also be missing their captain and in-game leader, steel, who is still serving a lifetime ban from Valve events.

Prediction: 2-0 MiBR

• C Players to Target: leaf ($6,600 Captain, $4,400 Flex)
• MiBR Players to Target: FalleN ($14,100 Captain, $9,400 Flex), fer ($12,300 Captain, $8,200 Flex)

Cloud9 vs. New England Whalers

The second match of the slate has the potential to be one of the most one-sided matches in top-tier CS:GO this year, as Cloud9 look to dismantle the second division side of NEW. It's hard to say much about a match where one team looks better in every way on every map. Cloud9 should take this match comfortably, and it could be a match where their stars look to stat-pad. Look for the match to end up on Nuke or Train, two maps where Cloud9's coordination should prove insurmountable for NEW, especially Train. If NEW want any chance to complete the upset, look towards PwnAlone to have a dominant performance; his stats against second-tier competition are stellar. This is a Tier 1 event though, and this is an event that Cloud9 will be looking for a deep run in, so expect floppy and Co. to be at their scary best, with floppy and oSee in particular looking for statement performances to open cs_summit6.

Prediction: 2-0 Cloud9

• NEW Players to Target: PwnAlone ($14,400 Captain, $9,600 Flex) [Only if you think NEW will pull off the upset, if not he is far too high-cost for this match]

Yeah vs. Triumph

The third match of the day is another one-sided affair, and another Brazilian vs. North American match, with Yeah taking on the hard-to-beat Triumph. Triumph come into this match as similarly heavy favorites as Cloud9 are and will be looking for an equally dominant performance. Triumph did not participate in the finals of BLAST Spring and come into cs_summit6 as one of the most reset teams in the tournament. If they can go on another top level run they could be dark horses for the title. Yeah, on the other hand, have struggled for form, and are looking to keep the match close as they try and sneak an early upset. The map veto favors Triumph across the board except for Inferno, though in the most recent meeting between these two sides Triumph took the victory there. If Yeah can have an excellent performance from RCF and dumau they could pull off the upset, if not, Triumph could put on a clinic in the third match.

Prediction: Triumph 2-0

• Triumph Players to Target: Grim ($13,800 Captain, $9,200 Flex), Spongey ($10,500 Captain, $7,000 Flex)

TeamOne vs. Envy

The final match of the slate follows a similar theme and looks to lean one way: towards Envy. TeamOne have made waves in North America, but are far from the top level side that Envy are, a side that was creating upsets for fun in Flashpoint. With both teams avoiding Vertigo, look towards a veto that will include Dust2 and Nuke, two maps both teams have played recently, though two that Envy have looked strong on. The only possible factor that could edge TeamOne into contention is that Calyx, the superstar of Envy, will be playing the match from the UK and will have higher than normal latency. Still though, Envy are favored across the board, and if Nifty and MICHU can pick up the slack that Calyx might leave, they should be able to comfortably dismiss TeamOne. On the other side of the coin, that slack opens the way for top level performances from MICHU and Nifty, who have the opportunity to pick up the points and kills that Calyx could struggle to get with his disadvantage.
