15th Match Preview: Brisbane Heat vs. Sydney Sixers

Brisbane Heat are ready to face Sydney Sixers in the 15th match of the Big Bash League (BBL) in Carrara on Tuesday. The game is an important one for the hosts as they are the only team in the tournament who are yet to open their account.

In their previous match, Heat registered a 15-run defeat against Hobart Hurricanes at the same venue where the Tuesday's match will be played. In the batting department, the home side will be relying on captain Chris Lynn, Joe Burns and Brendon McCullum to score bulk of the runs, whereas in the bowling department, the onus will be on the likes of Mark Steketee, Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Ben Cutting to provide timely breakthroughs.

On the other hand, Sixers will enter the contest on Tuesday full of confidence after registering an impressive 33-run win in their previous match against Melbourne Renegades. In the batting department, the visitors will be depending on the likes of captain Moises Henriques, Joe Denly and Jordan Silk to score most of the runs, whereas in the bowling department, the onus will be on the likes of Sean Abbott, Tom Curran and Steve O'Keefe to provide timely breakthroughs.

In the last five matches between both teams, Sixers won three and Heat emerged victorious in one, whereas one match ended as a tie.

In the last five matches between both teams, Sixers won three and Heat emerged victorious in one, whereas one match ended as a tie.

Key Players:

Tom Curran – 9 Cr

First in the list of key players features Sydney Sixers' Tom Curran. The 23-year-old is having an outstanding tournament for the franchise as he has already scored 87 runs with the bat at an average of 43.50, whereas with the ball in hand, the right-arm pacer has six wickets to his name. In the team's previous match, Curran scored valuable 23 not out and later claimed figures of three for 18, which shows why he should be in your team for the match on Tuesday. Curran has played 69 T20s, where he has scored 493 runs and has 77 wickets to his name.

Chris Lynn – 11 Cr

Second in the list of key players features Brisbane Heat's captain Chris Lynn. The right-hander is considered as a proven talent in the shortest format of the game. Lynn is having a quite tournament according to his own standard where he only scored 62 runs in two innings at an average of 31. But in both of those innings, Lynn did manage to get a start and it seems just a matter of time before he converts those starts into something substantial. Therefore, Lynn, who is valued at 11 Cr, might not prove to be a bad pick for your team for the Tuesday's match. Lynn has played 137 T20s, where he has scored 3,697 runs at an average of 32.42 and strike-rate of 143.35.

Ben Cutting – 9.5 Cr

Last in the list of key players features Brisbane Heat's Ben Cutting. The 31-year-old has a lot of experience of playing in different T20 leagues and has proven time and again that he can deliver when it matters the most. In the Heat's previous match, Cutting scored a breathtaking 58 off just 32 balls, but that effort ended in a losing cause. Therefore, the Brisbane-born all-rounder, who is valued at 9.5 Cr, might prove to be a good purchase for your team.
