Chinatrust Brothers (5-6) at Uni-President Lions (5-7), April 30th
Projected Starters
RHP Liao Yi-Chung (0-0, 2.57 ERA) vs RHP Pan Wei-Lun (0-1, 18.90 ERA)
Game Preview
The Brothers look to sweep the two-game series after winning 9-8 in Tuesday's contest, a game which saw a total of 10 runs scored over the final three innings. They'll turn to 25-year-old Liao Yi-Chung as they attempt to secure their fourth win in five games. He recorded a solid 4.36 ERA in his 13-start debut last season and held the Rakuten Monkeys' potent offense to just two runs in seven innings while striking out seven in his only start thus far this year. The Lions will trot out 38-year-old Pan Wei-Lun. Pan has been in the CPBL for 18 of the league's 31 seasons, debuting all the way back in 2003. After some dominant seasons early in his career, age appears to be taking its toll. He struggled to a mediocre 5.10 ERA and a very low 9.8 percent strikeout rate last season, and he hasn't shown signs of turning things around at the start of this campaign. Through two starts, he's given up 14 runs in just 6.2 innings.

Top Picks
Chan Tzu-Hsien, Brothers: The Brothers' cleanup man has recorded two hits in each of his last four contests. With the shaky Pan Wei-Lun on the mound for the Lions, expect Chan to be in line for another big game.
Lin An-Ko, Lions: If the Lions win this contest, expect Lin to be right in the middle of things. The left-handed number-three hitter has gone 6-for-13 with two homers and seven RBI over his last three games.
Su Chih-Chieh, Lions: The Lions' cleanup hitter has gotten off to a hot start this season, hitting four homers in his first 12 games. He and Lin An-Ko form a strong pairing at the heart of the Lions' lineup.
Su Wei-Ta, Brothers: Coming in at a very reasonable 9 credits, Su is a good bet to outperform his price. The first baseman, who's hitting .325 to start the season, should have plenty of runners to drive in if Pan Wei-Lun has another poor performance.
