Good morning, my friends, and welcome to the February grind! We have only the shortest month of the year between us and March and I am very pleased with where our wallets sit right now. After a HUGE 3-0 day on Monday, we're now +8 units on the year and looking for more! Not too much more, just a little more -- the February conference grind can humble anyone at anytime as most teams make their way around the rotation for a second time. Get ready for (more) wild results and crazy endings.....I'm here for it!

Furman Paladins vs. Chattanooga Mocs
I love the SOCON and couldn't pass on this matchup. Furman is very tough to beat at home and are 7-2 on the season against teams outside the KenPom Top 200. That, combined with the struggles of the Mocs and the injury to Teddy Washington makes this a relatively easy selection. Without Washington, Chattanooga was hammered at home by Wofford on Thursday and now face a quick transition to this road game against another of the top teams in the conference. The Mocs are also on a 3-11 ATS skid and I don't see any evidence of that getting better today.
College Basketball Best Bet: Furman -7.5 (FanDuel)

Tulane Green Wave at Memphis Tigers
I did a deeper dive on the AAC last week and found that home teams have the lowest win percentage (.446) in all of college basketball. Tulane got off to a 3-0 start in AAC play, but have now lost five straight and are desperate for a win. In that five-game skid, the Green Wave lost by 5 at FAU and by 3 at Charlotte, showing they are close to reeling in those road victories. Today, they travel to Memphis, who is off a 27-point whipping of short-handed FAU on Thursday. The Tigers are a team that are much better as disrespected dogs than fat and happy favorites, as evident by their 9-1 SU record but 5-5 ATS record in their last 10 games as favorites. I like the spot for Tulane to at least cover and it would not surprise me to see them win this one outright.
College Basketball Best Bet: Tulane +10.5 (BetRivers)

Illinois Fighting Illini at Nebraska Cornhuskers
No, I'm not piling on Nebraska just because they lost one game at one of the best teams in the country. However, life in the Big 10 is unrelenting and the Huskers are going through the gauntlet now. They were without Braden Frager and Rienk Mast for their trip to Ann Arbor and both are questionable today. Even if Mast is able to play, there is serious doubt how much strength he will have for this game, and missing your big man against the tallest team in college basketball is not a recipe for success. I've said all year long that Illinois is a Final Four team and nothing has changed that. The Illini also have a chance at revenging their only home loss of the year to Huskers in early December. I believe they will get that done today.
College Basketball Best Bet: Illinois +2.5 (Caesars)
