Wednesday has the makings of a pressure-filled night in the NBA with both series in action tied at two games apiece. We also have another opportunity to win some money on Yahoo, so let's highlight some players to consider for your entries, as well as a few to possibly avoid.
GUARDS
Donovan Mitchell, UTA vs. LAC ($39): Mitchell has been locked in offensively against the Clippers, scoring at least 30 points in all four games. That's helped him score at least 43.6 Yahoo points in every game of the series. He's the clear focal point of the Jazz's offense, averaging a whopping 27.3 shot attempts per game in this series. That leaves him with an incredibly high floor.
Seth Curry, PHI vs. ATL ($15): The Hawks haven't been able to slow down Curry, who is averaging 17.8 points and 3.8 three-pointers per game in their series. He's shooting a robust 60.0 percent from the field, including 57.7 percent from behind the arc. While those numbers aren't sustainable over a long period of time, Curry was efficient during the regular season, as well, including shooting 45.0 percent from behind the arc.
Guard to Avoid
Bogdan Bogdanovic, ATL at PHI ($27): Bogdanovic was busy in Game 4, scoring 22 points on 24 shot attempts. However, he didn't contribute much in other categories, leaving him to score just 27.0 Yahoo points. He's scored 33.3 Yahoo points or fewer in every game of this series, making it tough to justify adding his salary in DFS.
FORWARDS
Marcus Morris, LAC at UTA ($16): With the reports that Kawhi Leonard (knee) will miss Game 5, the Clippers are going to need someone else to step up and provide support around Paul George ($38). One of those players could be Morris, who scored 24 points in Game 4. With that performance, he's scored at least 27.5 Yahoo points in two of the last three games.
Nicolas Batum, LAC at UTA ($14): Batum is a versatile player for the Clippers who often makes an impact on the game despite limited scoring contributions. Game 4 was a perfect example of that. While he only scored seven points, he still finished with 33.4 Yahoo points thanks to his seven rebounds, four assists, three steals and one block. With plenty of playing time likely coming his way in the absence of Kawhi Leonard, he could end up being a bargain at this salary.
Forward to Avoid
John Collins, ATL at PHI ($22): Collins helped key the Hawks' comeback in Game 4 with a couple of dunks that helped energize both the team and the crowd. It was his best performance of the series, posting 14 points and 12 rebounds in total. However. He's scored fewer than 30 Yahoo points in two of the four games, which makes him a risky option when you consider that his salary doesn't come at much of a discount.
CENTERS
Joel Embiid, PHI vs. ATL ($48): Whether it was because of his knee injury or fatigue, Embiid looked off during the second half of Game 4. Even with his scoring struggles, though, he scored 44.2 Yahoo points on the strength of 21 rebounds. He had scored at least 60.8 Yahoo points in each of the first three games against the Hawks, so don't be surprised if he bounces back in a big way during Game 5.
Dwight Howard, PHI vs. ATL ($10): If you don't want to go with Embiid, it might not be a bad idea to punt the center spot to load up elsewhere. With players like Mitchell, George and Trae Young ($41) all set to take the floor, there is no shortage of top-tier options at both guard and forward. Howard has been productive in a backup role to Embiid, scoring at least 17.0 Yahoo points in back-to-back games.
Center to Avoid
Rudy Gobert, UTA vs. LAC ($31): The normally reliable Gobert has been quiet in this series, scoring 29.0 Yahoo points or fewer threw times. The Clippers have decided to go small, starting Batum at the five in both Games 3 and 4. That pulls Gobert away from the paint more, which contributed to him only grabbing a total of 18 rebounds during that stretch.
