Get ready for a wild night Wednesday with 11 games on the NBA schedule. Among the exciting games is the Raptors hosting Kawhi Leonard and the Clippers. We have a bevy of options to choose from in DFS, so here are some players to consider in an effort to help narrow down the field. Also, let's discuss a few to avoid based on the respective matchups.
GUARDS
Ricky Rubio, PHO vs. MEM ($30): This has the potential to be a high-scoring affair with the Grizzlies and Suns ranked seventh and eighth in the league in pace of play, respectively. Rubio is a player to specifically target considering with Grizzlies have allowed the third-most Yahoo points per game to opposing point guards. He's been playing well, in general, by scoring at least 34.7 Yahoo points in five of his last six games.
Tomas Satoransky, CHI vs. ATL ($16): The Bulls almost pulled out an upset over the Raptors on Monday, losing by just one point. Satoransky played a whopping 38 minutes in that contest, which helped him score 35.1 Yahoo points. While he's not always a consistent source for production, he's proven to have a significant upside by scoring at least 35.1 Yahoo points in three of his last seven games. With the Hawks allowing the third-most points per game in the league, Satorasnky could be in line for another one of his better stat lines here.
Guard to Avoid
Jeremy Lamb, IND vs. BOS ($21): Injuries have been a problem for the Pacers for much of the season, but they are the healthiest that they have been in awhile right now. A side effect of that is that they don't need to lean as heavily on Lamb for production, which might be part of the reason why he has scored 29 Yahoo points or fewer in four straight games. Taking on a Celtics team that has allowed the second-fewest points per game likely won't help his cause.
FORWARDS
Giannis Antetokounmpo, MIL vs. NO ($58): Both the Bucks and Pelicans are inside the top-five in the league in pace of play, so this one should be fun. While there is significant blowout potential, this still has the makings of a monster stat line from Giannis. He torched the Magic for 66 Yahoo points in his last game Monday, raising his average to 59.1 Yahoo points per contest for the season. Although he is pricey, his floor is about as high as it gets.
Joe Ingles, UTA at MIN ($17): The Jazz will be shorthanded with Mike Conley Jr. (hamstring) set to miss his fourth straight game. Ingles has stepped into a starting role in his place, which has helped him score at least 30.8 Yahoo points in back-to-back contests. With the Timberwolves playing at the fourth-fastest pace, the added playing time for Ingles make him a very appealing option.
Forward to Avoid
Nemanja Bjelica, SAC vs. OKC ($23): It appears Marvin Bagley's (thumb) long awaited return is finally here with him being listed as probably for this matchup against the Thunder. Since he was only dealing with a thumb injury, he might not be on much of a minutes limit, if any, since he probably has been able to keep up with his conditioning. Bjelica has been productive in his absence, but expect him to see reduced playing time moving forward.
CENTERS
Jarrett Allen, BKN vs. CHA ($29): Allen has played well in two previous meetings with the Hornets this season, scoring 46.4 and 36 Yahoo points, respectively. That should come as little surprise since the Hornets have allowed the third-most Yahoo points per game to opposing centers. Don't expect them to be able to slow him down in this matchup, either.
Mitchell Robinson, NY at GS ($17): The Knicks were demolished by the Blazers on Tuesday, which enabled Robinson to play 27 minutes. He disappointed with 22 Yahoo points in large part because he finished with only one block and no steals. He's normally known for his defensive contributions, which had helped him record at least 34.3 Yahoo points in each of his previous three games. Even though he's not a consistent source for production, he's still someone to consider in tournament play given then underwhelming cheap options at center.
Center to Avoid
Richaun Holmes, SAC vs. OKC ($26): Holmes is thriving right now after scoring at least 42 Yahoo points in three of his last four games. His price isn't outrageous either, which would normally make him a viable target. However, he too could see a decreased role with Bagley back in the fold, so it might be best to take a wait and see approach before deploying him in DFS again.
