2026 Fantasy Outlook
The 25th pick in last year's draft, Dart was named the Giants’ starter by Week 4. He finished QB13 in fantasy despite starting just 12 games, with unexpected rushing production bolstering his value. Ranking top three among QBs in both rushing yards (487) and TDs (9), the rookie was quick to run under pressure -- 10.1 percent scramble run rate (2nd) -- and didn't shy away from contact. It was the ideal approach for fantasy production, until Dart missed two games midseason with a concussion (he was also checked for head injuries a couple of other times). The Giants will try to temper that some this season, but Dart still figures to get plenty of rush attempts relative to other QBs. The bigger question is the passing game, where Dart averaged just 189.3 yards on 28.3 attempts (6.7 YPA) in his 12 starts. He threw 10-plus yards downfield at a good clip (34.2%, 10th), but completed just 39.7 percent of those throws (30th), struggling to connect with subpar wide receivers after Malik Nabers tore an ACL in Dart’s first start. The receiving corps will improve in a hurry if Nabers returns healthy, and it'd also help if 6-foot-4 rookie Malachi Fields is worth what the Giants traded to move up for him in the third round. New York also signed WR Darnell Mooney, who could be a decent deep threat, and TE Isaiah Likely, who new head coach John Harbaugh brought with him from Baltimore. With Harbaugh and new OC Matt Nagy calling shots, Dart should at least have more stability after a roller-coaster rookie season. Read Past Outlooks

Tosses two TDs in Week 18 win
Dart completed 22 of 32 passes for 230 yards and two touchdowns while rushing five times for 32 yards in Sunday's 34-17 win over the Cowboys. He finishes his rookie season with 2,272 passing yards and a 15:5 TD:INT, as well as 487 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns in 14 games (12 starts).
ANALYSIS
Dart showed plenty of promise in his rookie campaign, thriving as a runner and making many impressive throws despite working with an injury-riddled supporting cast. He threw touchdown passes of 29 yards to Daniel Bellinger and 13 yards to Tyrone Tracy as the Giants notched their fourth and final win of the 2025 regular season. The Giants will have an early pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, but they are unlikely to draft a quarterback, so Dart's expected to head into his sophomore season as the team's starter under center.

The Giants traded three picks to move up to select Dart 25th overall in this year’s draft. He'll likely get time to develop behind veterans Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston, though a training camp competition isn't entirely out of the question. Dart completed 69.3 percent of his passes at Ole Miss last season and led the FBS with 10.8 YPA. It was the third straight year in which his completion percentage, YPA and passer rating all improved from the previous season, and also his third straight year with at least 389 rushing yards. At 6-foot-2, 224, Dart moves well for his size but is sometimes too eager to scramble, and he may not be fast enough for his college rushing production to translate to the pros (he didn't run a 40-yard dash). He has a quick release with solid velocity, but the Ole Miss offense didn't always require full-field reads, and scouts said he often struggled when forced off his initial read. The biggest issue, though, might be his lack of an elite skill or trait. Nevertheless, the Giants hope a rookie apprenticeship will help the 22-year-old become their franchise QB.

Big Year 2 leap expected
Bucky Brooks of NFL.com projects Dart to take a significant step forward in his development during the 2026 season.
ANALYSIS
With a dynamic and proven new head coach in John Harbaugh and the additions of free-agent signee Isaiah Likely and rookie third-round pick Malachi Fields to an already strong offensive core, Dart is expected to have plenty of opportunity to blossom in his second season. The 2025 first-round pick will also benefit from the addition of rookie first-round pick Francis Mauigoa as his new right tackle, and new offensive coordinator Matt Nagy should also be an asset given his successful history with young quarterbacks.
