Elite NBA DFS Players
Guards
Anthony Edwards, Timberwolves
($9,300) at Grizzlies
Edwards is questionable for Monday's contest due to back spasms, so his status will be worth monitoring ahead of tipoff at 7:30 p.m. ET. If he's able to suit up, he'll have a favorable matchup against the Grizzlies, who rank 23rd in the league in defensive rating over the last 10 games. Edwards generated 44.0 DK points in a win over Memphis on Saturday and has reached that mark in six of his last seven appearances, during which he has averaged 32.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.1 steals per game.
Amen Thompson, Rockets
($8,200) at Pacers
Thompson has been a stat-stuffing machine this season and will have a prime opportunity to remain productive against Indiana. The 23-year-old guard has supplied 39.0-plus DK points in seven of his last eight outings, averaging 16.4 points, 7.9 rebounds, 7.5 assists and 3.0 combined steals-plus-blocks in 39.4 minutes per contest over that stretch. He tallied 41.0 DK points in a win over Indiana on Dec. 29.
Forwards/Centers
Alperen Sengun, Rockets
($9,200) at Pacers
With Kevin Durant (ankle) unavailable, the Rockets will look for Sengun to step up in this favorable matchup against Indiana. The star big man has posted at least 38.8 DK points in 10 of his last 12 outings, averaging 19.0 points, 9.9 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 2.3 combined steals-plus-blocks in 33.7 minutes per tilt over that period.
Kawhi Leonard, Clippers
($9,000) vs. 76ers
Leonard has been a consistent source of elite production since mid-December and hasn't logged fewer than 37.3 DK points since Dec. 15. The star forward has averaged 23.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.2 combined steals-plus-blocks in 28.0 minutes per contest over his last five games.
Pascal Siakam, Pacers
($8,600) vs. Rockets
Although the Rockets are a difficult matchup, Siakam has been productive of late and has recorded at least 38.0 DK points in eight of his last nine outings. The star forward has averaged 24.7 points, 7.1 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.1 combined steals-plus-blocks during that stretch.
Expected NBA DFS Chalk
Joel Embiid, 76ers
($9,700) at Clippers
Embiid has returned to elite form of late and was scorching hot throughout January. The star center is listed as probable to suit up in Los Angeles and will look to continue his productive ways after logging 46.3-plus DK points in seven straight appearances. During that span, he has averaged 34.1 points, 9.3 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 1.5 combined steals-plus-blocks across 36.0 minutes per game.
Mid-Range NBA DFS Picks
Naz Reid, Timberwolves
($6,300) at Grizzlies
The 26-year-old big man is fresh off dropping 47.3 DK points in a win over Memphis on Saturday and could see an increased workload Monday if Julius Randle (thumb) is downgraded from questionable to out. Reid has notched 31.8 or more DK points in six of his last seven outings, averaging 15.6 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.6 combined steals-plus-blocks in 27.9 minutes per game during that span.
Aaron Nesmith, Pacers
($5,600) vs. Rockets
Nesmith has been extremely efficient of late, averaging 18.0 points, 3.5 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 3.0 three-pointers while shooting 59.1 percent from the field and 60.0 percent from long range in 33.0 minutes per tilt over his last four outings. He has posted at least 26.3 DK points in each of those outings. In a loss to Houston on Dec. 29, Nesmith posted 25.8 DK points while playing just 24 minutes off the bench in his second appearance following an extended absence.
NBA DFS Value Picks
John Collins, Clippers
($5,300) vs. 76ers
Collins has been effective of late, dropping 20.0-plus DK points in six of his last seven appearances. Over that stretch, the 28-year-old big man has averaged 15.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.3 three-pointers and 1.4 assists in 27.3 minutes per contest. He has shot 61.4 percent from the field and 50.0 percent from three-point range in those seven games.
Jordan Miller, Clippers
($5,000) vs. 76ers
Miller has provided at least 20.3 DK points in seven of his last nine outings, including five games with 27.8 or more. The 26-year-old guard has averaged 14.0 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.7 steals across 27.3 minutes per tilt during that span.
GG Jackson, Grizzlies
($4,600) vs. Timberwolves
Jackson continues to see meaningful burn off the bench and has been productive recently, finishing with 21.3 or more DK points in five straight games. During that period, he has averaged 12.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.2 combined steals-plus-blocks in 24.0 minutes per contest. While Jaren Jackson (quadriceps) is likely to return from a one-game absence, the Grizzlies will still be extremely shorthanded Monday, presumably allowing Jackson to continue seeing an uptick in minutes.
