FanDuel NBA: Friday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Friday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Point Guard

Mario Chalmers, $4,900 - Both of Chalmers' teammates - Mike Conley and Courtney Lee - have been listed as doubtful for tonight's game pressing Chalmers into big minutes. The backup point guard has played much better since joining the Grizzlies and has a bunch of 20-plus fantasy point efforts scattered across the last couple of weeks. He played 39 minutes Wednesday night (49.1 fantasy points) and should see similar minutes tonight.

Brandon Knight, $6,800 - This price continues to be too cheap for a player logging around 40 minutes per game ever since Eric Bledsoe went down. Knight has since become the focal point of the offense and has at least 30 fantasy points in five of his last eight contests. The matchup at home should help keep the game competitive even if Miami plays at a slower pace than most teams.

Shooting Guard

Victor Oladipo, $6,000 - Oladipo was a chalky play the other night and could be again tonight if Elfrid Payton remains out. However, it looks like there's a good chance Elfrid is back and that will scare some owners off Victor. If Elfrid returns, it's highly unlikely he plays a full complement of minutes and Oladipo has played good enough that he should see plenty of playing time.

Monta Ellis, $6,200 - It usually isn't wise to chase a player coming off a big game but Ellis has been very consistent over the last few weeks. He's scored at least 20 fantasy points in each game for weeks and has three games of 33 or more fantasy points in three of his last six games. The matchup against Brooklyn is good as whoever guards him doesn't have the speed or quickness to stay with him.

Small Forward

Bojan Bogdanovic, $4,400 - With DFS hoops following the minutes is always a good idea and Bogdanovic has consistently been playing in the mid-30s. He's scored double-digit points in eight of his last nine games and has averaged over six rebounds over his last six. Bogdanovic has hit 7X his price tag in two of the last four games showing the amount of upside he has.

Khris Middleton, $6,900 - Middleton has quietly been a DFS stud over the last few weeks and has finally seen his price start to rise. Dating back to late December he has fantasy games of 40 or more points in five of his last nine. It's hard to find someone who has been that consistent breaking the 40-point mark less than $7K and the matchup against Dallas at home is favorable.

Power Forward

Mirza Teletovic, $4,200 - It's usually tough to roster bench players in a lineup given that their minutes are usually limited. Teletovic has been productive in a limited role and it's interesting that the Suns are now using him at the five a little bit which could eventually lead to more playing time. Even though he's playing minutes in the mid-20s he's scored 35.1, 25.1, 22.4 and 23.6 fantasy point over his last four contests. Against the Heat tonight it'll be an advantage to play with the second team and avoid in the interior defense of Hassan Whiteside.

Serge Ibaka, $6,200 - There's a lot working against Ibaka tonight as he comes off a 12 fantasy point effort and there's major blowout potential. That being said it's a great matchup against the Lakers who give up a ton of fantasy points to opposing big men. There's a nice floor here considering the price and for the game to be a blowout the starters for the Thunder will have to go off in the first half.

Center

Jusuf Nurkic, $4,300 - Nurkic has seen his minutes increase since returning to the court and appears to be a legit center. In his last game where he saw 22 minutes Nurkic had 15 points, 10 rebounds, five blocks and two assists for 39 fantasy points. It's not a great matchup against Memphis but there's a good chance he's not matched up with Gasol playing with the second team and his minutes could increase from 22.
