DraftKings MLB: Tuesday Picks

This article is part of our DraftKings MLB series.

PITCHER

Zack Godley, ARI at SD ($11,100): With the Padres owning a target-worthy .273 wOBA and 26.1 strikeout percentage against righties in September, Godley is a strong option. The 27-year-old righty boasts an impressive 2.59 ERA and 27.1 strikeout percentage through his past 10 starts, so he enters the soft matchup in top form.

Aaron Nola, PHI vs. LAD ($8,300): The Dodgers are struggling with a .289 wOBA and 25.8 strikeout percentage against righties in September, so Nola checks out as an against-the-grain flier. He's allowed two earned runs or fewer in 13 of his past 16 starts for a standout 3.03 ERA and 28.2 strikeout percentage.

CATCHER

Wilson Ramos, TB vs. CHC ($3,200): Don't let Mike Montgomery's numbers fool you, as he's posted a mediocre 4.62 ERA and 1.28 WHIP through 12 starts. Additionally, he's allowed seven runs through seven innings in his past two starts. Ramos enters with a manageable salary and a rock-solid .940 OPS, .263 ISO and .388 wOBA against lefties dating back to last season.

FIRST BASE

Eric Hosmer, KC vs. TOR ($3,500): The first baseman's salary is attractive alongside his .414 on-base percentage and .405 wOBA against righties. Additionally, Hosmer is locked into the heart of the Kansas City lineup. However, he's more of a contrarian flier because Marcus Stroman has been tough on left-handed hitters (.295 wOBA allowed).

SECOND BASE

Howie Kendrick, WAS at ATL ($3,900): Rookie Luiz Gohara limited the Nationals in his last start, but now has to face Washington again. Kendrick boasts a .388 wOBA against southpaws this year and should benefit from his familiarity with Gohara this time around.

THIRD BASE

Anthony Rendon, WAS at ATL ($4,600): Another National to target against Luiz Gohara, Rendon has been an elite producer against lefties this season with a 1.110 OPS, .333 ISO and .453 wOBA. His salary doesn't match his high-end numbers, either.

SHORTSTOP

Marcus Semien, OAK at DET ($3,900): It's a small sample size, but Chad Bell has allowed a .403 wOBA and 42.0 hard-hit percentage to right-handed hitters this season. Semien posted a strong .257 ISO and .343 wOBA against lefties in 2016, so with .099 and .291 marks this year, he's a flier candidate with potential for statistical correction in the juicy matchup.

OUTFIELD

J.D. Martinez, ARI at SD ($5,600):Travis Wood has allowed a .392 wOBA to right-handed hitters this season, and he's also allowed 16 runs through just 4.1 innings over his past two starts. With Martinez boasting a league-best .518 ISO and .538 wOBA against lefties this year, the outfielder is as close to a lineup lock as a hitter can be.

Tommy Pham, STL at CIN ($4,900): With Jackson Stephens making just his second career start, Pham's impressive .413 on-base percentage and .396 wOBA against righties jumps off the page. The outfielder is locked into the heart of the Cardinals' lineup, and Stephens posted an uninspiring 4.92 ERA and 1.49 WHIP through 139 innings with Triple-A Louisville this season.

Kyle Schwarber, CHC at TB ($3,800): A boom-or-bust flier, Schwarber owns an impressive .303 ISO and .378 wOBA against righties in the second half, and his salary opens cap space to spend elsewhere. Chris Archer has also slipped in the second half with a 4.24 ERA and 1.8 HR/9, and the righty has allowed a 43.3 hard-hit percentage to left-handed hitters for the season.
