Lotte Giants (23-23) at NC Dinos (32-15)
Tuesday, July 1st, 5:30 AM EDT
Projected starters
LHP Won Sam Jang (0-1, 15.00 ERA) vs LHP Chang Mo Koo (6-0, 1.37 ERA)
Game Preview
The Dinos continue to dominate the competition this season and sit comfortably at the top of the standings with a 32-15 record. Things have not been nearly as good for the Giants, as they've been inconsistent throughout the year. They enter this contest riding a two-game winning streak after winning Tuesday's series opener in extra innings, but they're a mediocre 23-23 on the season and have gone 4-6 in their last 10 contests. They'll now have to face the Dinos' star hurler, Chang Mo Koo, in this one. The Giants will counter with another lefty in Won Sam Jang, who comes with a much lesser reputation. He allowed five runs and 10 hits in just three innings in his lone start this campaign. To put things into perspective, Koo has allowed one or fewer runs in all but one start this year.
Injuries
Yoon Suk Oh, Giants - 10-Day IL - Hamstring
June 15 - Oh will be placed on the injured list with a right hamstring injury, Ik Rae Choi of The Dong-A Ilbo reports. It's not yet clear how long Oh will be sidelined, but he will not be able to play again until he is activated by the Giants. Oh has provided a nice boost for the Giants since making his season

It's not yet clear how long Oh will be sidelined, but he will not be able to play again until he is activated by the Giants. Oh has provided a nice boost for the Giants since making his season debut June 3, posting an .847 OPS over 11 games, but the team will now be forced to turn to another option on the infield.
Joon Wan Kim, Dinos - 10-Day IL - Side
June 1 - Kim felt soreness in his right side last week, according to OSEN, and was placed on the injured list. It's not clear how long Kim will be sidelined, but the Dinos' reserve outfielder has not played since May 28 and will apparently miss more time. Sung Wook Kim was added to the roster in Joon Wan Kim's place.
Min Woo Park, Dinos - Day-To-Day - Hamstring
June 30 - Park was removed in the third inning of Tuesday's game against the Giants after experiencing right hamstring discomfort while running the bases. After grounding out in his first at-bat, the Dinos' leadoff man sent a liner down the left-field line in the bottom of the third for a double, but his hamstring acted up as he slid into second base. Sang Ho Lee came on to pinch run for Park, who could be sent to the hospital for further examination after the contest. Until the Dinos provide another update on his status, Park can be considered day-to-day ahead of Wednesday's contest.
Eui Ji Yang, Dinos - Day-To-Day - Back
June 30 - Yang was removed in the seventh inning of Tuesday's game against the Giants after experiencing lower-back discomfort. He went 1-for-3 with a base hit before backup catcher Tae Goon Kim came on to replace him in top of the seventh. Yang has reportedly been dealing with the back discomfort since Friday, and Monday's day off apparently wasn't enough to alleviate his pain. That said, the Dinos have described Yang's removal as precautionary, so he should have a decent chance at returning to the lineup Wednesday either as a catcher or designated hitter.

Top Picks
Chang Mo Koo, Dinos: Koo might be coming off his worst start of the season after allowing four earned runs in four innings, but his ERA remains incredible at 1.37. He shouldn't have many problems with an unimposing Giants lineup in this one.
Aaron Altherr, Dinos: Altherr connected on another home run Tuesday and capped an excellent month, as he hit .329 (27-for-82) with eight home runs and 26 RBI over 24 games. He has gone yard in three straight games.
Dae Ho Lee, Giants: Lee has been the Giants' best hitter of late and is coming off a two-homer performance in Tuesday's win. He is riding a six-game hitting streak while posting multi-hit efforts in back-to-back contests.
Sung Bum Na, Dinos: Na might only be hitting .238 over his last 10 games, but he has two home runs and 11 RBI during that stretch, so he's remained productive despite a relatively low average. He finished June with six homers, 25 RBI and a .289/.349/.577 slash line.
