2026 Fantasy Outlook
Coming off an injury-marred 2025 campaign, Reed signed a three-year, $50.3 million extension in April, opting for security as he enters the final year of his rookie contract. He didn't have much fantasy hype back in 2023, coming out of Michigan State as the 50th overall pick, but that didn't stop Reed from quickly becoming a big-play threat (and occasional ballcarrier) out of the slot. He scored 10 total TDs (two rushing) in 16 regular-season games as a rookie, averaging 13.5 PPR points while piling up 94 targets and 11 carries. Reed provided something similar for the Packers in 2024, his second NFL season, but with 19 fewer targets over one more game, dropping his PPR average to 11.7 points even though his per-touch efficiency was elite. Then came 2025, in which he suffered a Jones fracture pre-season and a collarbone fracture in Week 2. Reed somehow ended up playing seven regular-season games, but with minimal production and just 3.2 targets per game. Things set up much better for Reed in 2026, after the Packers emptied out their crowded WR room this offseason, leaving a clear top three of Reed, Christian Watson and Matthew Golden. There's still the ever-present concern about Packers coach Matt LaFleur only using Reed in three-wide formations, but reduced depth at the position might inspire LaFleur to change his mind at some point in 2026. Three-year extension with Packers
Reed has agreed to a three-year contract extension with the Packers, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Per Schefter, Reed's extension with Green Bay is worth $50.25 million in new money, including $20 million guaranteed. As the coming season approaches, Reed is entrenched as a key component of a Packers WR corps that also features Christian Watson and Matthew Golden, following the offseason departures of Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks. In seven regular-season contests in 2025, the 2023 second-rounder recorded a 19-207-1 line on 22 targets. Health permitting, a bounce-back season is plausible for Reed in 2026, with the vacated targets of Doubs and Wicks up for grabs.

Reed isn't especially fast for a smaller wide receiver, having run a 4.45 40 at 5-foot-11, 187 pounds, but that hasn't stopped him from frequently making big plays out of the slot ever since Green Bay took him in the second round of the 2023 Draft. His combination of big receiving plays and semi-regular carries (31-282-3 career rushing line) seems promising for fantasy, but Reed's target volume took a step back rather than forward between Years 1 and 2, in part because he continued coming off the field for two-wide formations. His two best games last season both occurred within the first four weeks, but he never got more than six targets in any game thereafter. His 11.4 YPT ranked third among qualified WRs, but he drew 19 fewer targets than he had as a rookie, with his target rate dropping from 23.1 percent of routes all the way down to 16.8 percent. Reed's impressive per-target efficiency and frequent TDs suggest he deserves more chances, and quite possibly more playing time in two-wide sets, with few players offering a better mix of route-running and after-the-catch skills. On the other hand, there's no guarantee of further development (he turned 25 in April), and Reed comes with added risk this season after reportedly suffering a Jones fracture during training camp. He intends to play through the injury after resting for a few weeks, but it may impact his explosiveness even if he remains available.

Reed signed a three-year, $50.25 million extension with the Packers on Friday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The promising but oft-injured receiver was set to enter the final year of his rookie deal in 2026, but he's now signed through the 2029 campaign. The deal includes $20 million guaranteed and comes on the heels of the Packers allowing Romeo Doubs to exit to the Patriots via free agency and trading Dontayvion Wicks to the Eagles earlier in April.
