Heath has proven to be a quality find for the Packers, who scooped him up from the list of undrafted rookie free agents in 2023 and benefited from his 25 receptions and three scores in 26 appearances across the past two seasons. However, he has resided on the fringes of the roster, and that was before Mecole Hardman and rookies Matthew Golden and Savion Williams were added this offseason. ANALYSIS
Heath has yet to appear in a game for the Falcons since being claimed off waivers from the Packers in early December, and that trend will continue for Monday night's game. With Atlanta eliminated from postseason contention, Week 18 against the Saints on Sunday presents Heath his final opportunity to play this season. The Falcons will go with five active wide receivers in Drake London, Darnell Mooney, David Sills, Dylan Drummond and Deven Thompkins against Los Angeles.

He didn't stand out in any one area, but he spent the duration of the campaign on the team's 53-man roster and filled in effectively when injuries hit. A player in his situation would generally have a chance to earn a larger role in his second season, but he'll enter training camp behind five others on the depth chart and will be pushing the Packers to head into Week 1 with six wideouts.

Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reported Friday that Dontayvion Wicks will miss a second straight game due to a calf injury, which means Heath is in line to serve as Green Bay's No. 4 wideout against Carolina on Sunday.

Heath was limited to just two catches on as many targets for 46 yards through the first six games of the regular season. Even with fellow wideout Christian Watson making his season debut in the Packers' Week 8 win over the Steelers, Heath still managed to work in an expanded role in the absence of Wicks, with Heath hauling in three passes for 29 yards on three targets. With Wicks out for a second straight week, Heath and rookie third-rounder Savion Williams will operate as the Packers' depth wideouts behind Watson, Romeo Doubs and rookie first-rounder Matthew Golden.
