2026 Fantasy Outlook
On a per-route or per-target basis, Watson has been consistently efficient throughout his NFL career, showcasing the combination of size (6-foot-4, 208) and speed (4.36 40) that made him a second-round pick in 2022. For fantasy, he's been frustrating more often than valuable, missing an average of five games per season and often playing limited snaps even when healthy. Watson has never topped 555 snaps or 66 targets in a single season, but 2025 seemed like a step in that direction for the future. He made his debut in Week 8, coming back from an ACL tear the previous December, and didn't waste any time establishing himself as Green Bay's best weapon (in the absence of TE Tucker Kraft, who also suffered an ACL tear). Watson averaged career highs of 3.5 catches and 61.1 yards in his 10 regular-season games, even topping 70 percent snap share in five straight contests at one point. A concussion broke his momentum in December, but he then scored a TD and played 57 snaps (his third most ever) in the playoff loss at Chicago. The Packers have since moved on from Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks, strengthening the 2026 breakout argument for each of Watson, Matthew Golden and Jayden Reed. Early ADP feedback has Watson as the clear favorite of the trio, with fantasy drafters betting that his excellent per-route production will finally scale up. Read Past Outlooks
RANKS
Productive following IR return
Watson finished the 2025 regular season with 35 catches (on 55 targets) for 611 yards and six touchdowns across 10 games.
ANALYSIS
Watson played a key role on the Packers' offense during Saturday's 31-27 NFC wild-card loss to the Bears, finishing with three catches (on seven targets) for 39 yards which included a seven-yard touchdown pass from Jordan Love late in the first quarter. Watson missed the first seven games of the regular season while recovering from a torn ACL that he suffered in Week 18 of the 2024 campaign. Despite the missed time, the fourth-year pro finished the regular season second on the Packers in catches, targets and yards behind Romeo Doubs. Even with Green Bay bringing in rookie Matthew Golden, Watson still played a key part in the offense, particularly after Tucker Kraft tore his ACL in Week 9 against the Panthers. Watson -- who the Packers selected in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft -- is under contract with Green Bay through the 2026 campaign.

Watson is still recovering from a torn right ACL that he suffered in early January, which sheds serious doubt on his availability for the early portion of the 2025 season. The Packers also invested significant draft capital at the wide receiver position in April's draft in the form of first-round pick Matthew Golden and third-rounder Savion Williams. With the likes of Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs, Dontayvion Wicks, Bo Melton, Mecole Hardman and Malik Heath on hand as well, the team boasts one of the league's most crowded receiver rooms, meaning Watson will face tough competition for snaps even if he enjoys an exceptional recovery timeline.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could get extension
Watson might be the next Packers wide receiver to get a contract extension, Rob Demovsky of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Green Bay signed Jayden Reed to a three-year, $50 million extension just before the 2026 Draft, and it could be Watson's turn next. The 2022 second-round pick has had trouble staying healthy during his career, playing an average of just 12 regular-season games during his four years in the NFL, but he's been a big-play threat for Jordan Love when healthy and averaged 19.2 yards per reception over the last two years. The offseason departures of Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks position Watson to have a bigger role in 2026 alongside fellow holdovers Reed and Matthew Golden.
