Handles No. 3 receiver role in 2024
Dotson secured 19 of 33 targets for 216 yards across 17 regular-season games with the Eagles in 2024. He also rushed once for 13 yards.
ANALYSIS
Dotson played a sizeable 649 offensive snaps during the regular season for Philadelphia, working in a No. 3 receiver role behind A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. His most impactful game of the season came during the Eagles' win over Kansas City in Super Bowl LIX, with two catches for 42 yards on three targets. The 2022 first-round pick looks set to reprise a similar role for the 2025 season, though with all of Brown, Smith, running back Saquon Barkley and tight end Dallas Goedert pushing for opportunities on offense, he seems likely to again end up on the outside looking in for fantasy purposes.

The popularity of Cincinnati stacks seems to be inflating ADPs for Tee Higgins and Joe Burrow. RW's Jerry Donabedian has the full scoop, looking at early ADP results from two best-ball sites.

RotoWire's Jerry Donabedian compares his Top 200 to early ADP and finds that most drafters don't share his optimism about Bucky Irving and Courtland Sutton.

The Chiefs might assign star corner Trent McDuffie to A.J. Brown, but if so they risk setting loose DeVonta Smith against Kansas City's more modest corners.
Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2023
2022
A 2022 first-round pick, Dotson had an interesting first two years in the league. As a rookie, he averaged 2.9 catches, 43.6 yards and 0.58 TDs in 12 games. Last year, Dotson played all 17 games and again averaged 2.9 catches but made far fewer big plays (he averaged only 30.0 yards and 0.24 TDs per game). Part of the issue was poor coaching and QB play, though that was perhaps true both seasons and doesn't necessarily explain the drop off between Years 1 and 2. The Commanders weren't sold on a bounce back and ultimately traded Dotson and a fifth-round pick to the division-rival Eagles on Aug. 22 for a third-round selection and two seventh-rounders. While the change of scenery might do him some good, Dotson now finds himself competing for the No. 3 receiver role in an offense that figures to be heavily focused on WRs A.J. Brown and Devonta Smith, RB Saquon Barkley and TE Dallas Goedert. Any real-life benefit for the young wideout won't necessarily materialize in terms of fantasy value.

Latest Fantasy Rumors

Chance to step up Monday
Dotson could see additional opportunities Monday against the Falcons, as A.J. Brown won't play due to a hamstring injury, per Tim McManus of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Dotson had no catches and just one target in his Eagles debut, but the trade acquisition from Washington should slide into a more prominent role opposite DeVonta Smith with Brown sidelined. The Eagles have underwhelming wide receiver depth behind Dotson, with rookie Johnny Wilson and Britain Covey on the team and Parris Campbell expected to be elevated from the practice squad. Wilson is questionable due to a hamstring injury.
