Rest-of-Season Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Before a season-ending broken collarbone derailed his 2024 campaign, Minshew started nine of 10 appearances with the Raiders, completing 203 of 306 pass attempts (66.3 percent) for 2,013 yards, nine touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He'd likely be more productive under center in Kansas City, with the benefit of coach Andy Reid's offensive scheme and plentiful playmakers in the pass-catching corps, but Minshew won't be tasked with consequential snaps as long as Patrick Mahomes stays healthy. Avoids surgery, already healthy
Minshew (knee) will not require any procedures to address the season-ending knee injury he suffered in Week 16 and is already back to full strength, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Minshew missed the final two games of the regular season due to a left knee injury initially reported as a torn ACL and was then diagnosed as a non-displaced tibial plateau fracture, though Schefter now reports that the veteran quarterback merely suffered a bone bruise. After having played out the 2025 season on a one-year, $1.17 million contract with the Chiefs, Minshew will now be fully healthy in time to hit free agency this offseason. If he doesn't reunite with Kansas City, Minshew should have little difficulty securing a backup role elsewhere in the league.

Minshew signed a two-year $25 million deal in March to join Las Vegas, where he competed with fellow quarterback Aidan O'Connell for much of the spring and summer before ultimately being named as the Week 1 starter. Minshew started 13 games last year with the Colts after rookie Anthony Richardson went down and was mostly his mediocre self. He was slightly more efficient for the Colts than O'Connell was for the Raiders, but Minshew still only ranked 25th in on-target percentage (70.4) while his 6.7 YPA was 23rd. Minshew can probably be trusted to take care of the ball better than O'Connell and has the veteran leadership traits that comfort coaches. He also is more mobile than O'Connell, who did not have even one scramble yard last season. Minshew will throw to veteran WRs Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers as well as young TEs Brock Bowers (a rookie first-round pick) and Michael Mayer (a second-round pick last year). Meanwhile, coach Antonio Pierce has made it clear he wants to emphasize the running game despite losing RB Josh Jacobs without signing or drafting a comparable replacement. Minshew must learn the playbook of new offensive coordinator Luke Getsy, who presided over one of the league's worst passing offenses the last two years in Chicago before getting fired.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Headed out of Vegas
The Raiders are expected to release Minshew when the new league year begins next Wednesday, Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Minshew inked a two-year, $25 million deal with the Raiders last spring and began the 2024 season as the starter and appeared in 10 games overall, throwing for 2,013 yards, nine touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He completed nearly two-thirds of his pass attempts, but he suffered a season-ending collarbone fracture Week 12 against the Broncos. Minshew should draw interest in free agency from teams looking to add an experienced backup option, though he may struggle to find an opportunity to compete for a starting gig.
