2026 Projections
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Douglas enters the final year of his rookie contract with a chip on his shoulder, after getting just 288 snaps and 46 targets in 17 regular-season games last year. His per-route and per-target numbers were nearly all career highs, but his snap share fell to 26.3 percent, down from 55.3 percent and 62.1 percent in his two previous NFL seasons. The Patriots have since moved on from Stefon Diggs, but they signed Romeo Doubs and are said to be pursuing additional WR help, likely leaving Douglas to compete for the third or fourth spot on the depth chart. Last year, he wasn't even the regular slot man in 11 personnel, sharing those snaps with a variety of other players. A trade might give Douglas a cleaner path to consistent slot snaps, but even then he'd only be a fringe option in fantasy, limited by his 5-foot-8 frame. Read Past Outlooks
RANKS
Decreased usage in 2025
Douglas caught 31 of 46 targets for 447 yards and three touchdowns while logging seven carries for 21 yards over 17 contests during the 2025 regular season.
ANALYSIS
Douglas garnered only 288 total offensive snaps, which was 186 fewer than his previous low (474) from his rookie campaign in 2023. As a result of the smaller workload, the wide receiver recorded the fewest receptions and receiving yards of his three-year career with New England. With Stefon Diggs, Kayshon Boutte, Mack Hollins and 2025 third-rounder Kyle Williams all under contract at wide receiver for next season, Douglas will enter 2026 on an expiring deal with limited upside.

2023
Douglas came to the Patriots in 2023 as a sixth-round pick and almost immediately earned a regular role in the slot, where his 5-foot-8, 179-pound frame wouldn't be too limiting. He's since bulked up some, now listed at 192, and seemingly without sacrificing any of his 4.44 speed, but that doesn't mean he'll ever be more than a No. 3 receiver. After drawing targets on 22.1 percent of routes as a rookie, Douglas dropped to 16.9 percent in 2024 despite being surrounded mostly by backup-quality receivers. The Patriots hope that won't be the case this year, having signed Stefon Diggs and Mack Hollins, but their receiving corps and offensive line still rank near the bottom of the league on paper. That's good for Douglas' chances to keep his role, and he's already more athletic than the average slot specialist, but it's tough to manage even WR3 fantasy production in such a role unless the team almost exclusively uses three-wide formations and/or has elite passing numbers overall. Neither of those outcomes seems likely under new coach Mike Vrabel, which means Douglas' statistical gains figure to be modest even if second-year QB Drake Maye proves to be a gem.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Hollins' return could have impact
Douglas is line to bump down a notch on the depth chart for Sunday's AFC Championship Game against the Broncos due to the expected availability of Mack Hollins, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hollins, who was on injured reserve since Dec. 27 because of an abdomen injury but was activated Saturday, brings both size and speed. Reiss notes Hollins had played on 68 percent of the Patriots' snaps before his injury, and given his importance to the running game and the fact he handles some of the downfield routes Douglas often does, there's a chance the latter sees a reduced role Sunday.
