2026 Projections
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Allen lands in Kansas City as a fifth-round pick, 176th overall, joining a shaky WR room beyond No. 1 Rashee Rice. Any Year 1 impact would still be considered a bonus rather than the expectation, given Allen's Day 3 draft capital and lack of dominant college production. He did have four seasons with at least 269 receiving yards, for three different schools, peaking at 46-778-4 in 2023 (Louisiana Tech) and 51-674-13 in 2025 (Cincinnati). Allen's red-zone prowess for the Bearcats last year may have interested Kansas City, but it's hard to see major fantasy upside in the profile when he's already 23 years old and doesn't boast elite speed (4.49 40) or size (5-foot-11,183). Kick returns may be his easiest path to playing time early on. Read Past Outlooks

The Chiefs selected Allen in the fifth round of the 2026 NFL Draft, 176th overall.
ANALYSIS
Allen (5-foot-11, 180 pounds) led Cincinnati with 674 receiving yards while totaling a career-high 13 touchdowns across as many games in 2025, and he also logged stints at Louisiana Tech and Texas A&M during his collegiate career. He assisted his draft profile courtesy of a strong showing at the Senior Bowl and a solid showing at the NFL Combine (4.49-second 40-yard dash), but given that Nikko Remigio, Jalen Royals, Jason Brownlee, Jimmy Holiday and Andrew Armstrong are all also competing for depth opportunities behind starting wideouts Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy and Tyquan Thornton, Allen may have to show competence on special teams this offseason in order to earn a spot on the 53-man roster.
