FantasyDraft NFL: Week 6 Picks

FantasyDraft NFL: Week 6 Picks

This article is part of our FantasyDraft NFL series.

Each week, RotoWire will provide picks and values for FantasyDraft lineups. Users have a salary cap of $100,000 to select a lineup comprised of one quarterback, two running backs, two receivers, one tight end, two flex spots and one defense. The scoring is standard point-per-reception.

To roster some top-tier players in tournaments, you need some lower-priced sleeper options.

Here are our fantasy football picks for Week 6 on FantasyDraft.

QUARTERBACK

Sam Bradford, $11,500 vs. NYG

With the Eagles' offense sputtering in the first few weeks, Bradford's price and ownership have dropped considerably, as he is QB13 this week on FantasyDraft. This allows him flexibility as a bit of a cheaper option, but with upside. Bradford has scored 22.62 and 24.2 fantasy points in the last two weeks, and this is without the offense clicking the entire game. In Week 6 against the Giants, expect the Eagles to pass early and often against a secondary that has allowed the second-most passing yards in the NFL. With Bradford's expected volume in a good matchup, this could be a breakout week for the Eagles' passing game.

RUNNING BACK

Danny Woodhead, $8,700 vs. GB

Woodhead has been a cheap value on FantasyDraft all season, and it has paid off for his owners. At just $8,700, he needs just 12.5 fantasy points or more to reach good value. In four of five games this season, Woodhead has eclipsed that mark. With the Chargers' tough matchup against the Packers in Week 6, expect the short passes to be the way to attack a solid Green Bay defensive front. This starts with Woodhead, and in FantasyDraft's PPR scoring system, he makes for a solid play considering he has seen at least three catches in every game this season.

Theo Riddick, $6,400 vs. CHI

Riddick, like Woodhead, is a PPR scoring system player. This season, Riddick has caught five or more passes in four of five games. In the last four games, he has combined for 28 catches for more than 180 yards. This gives him a very high floor considering his low price. With the rumors that Ameer Abdullah will lose touches due to fumbling issues, Riddick's snaps will only increase. The Lions face the Bears in Week 6, who have allowed at least 15 fantasy points to opposing running backs in every game this season.

WIDE RECEIVER

Mike Wallace, $8,800 vs. KC

It is not often you read Wallace's name as a play in NFL DFS, but this week it is possible considering the matchup against Kansas City. The Chiefs have allowed the most fantasy points to opposing receivers, by far, this season. They have allowed 86 catches for more than 1,100 yards and 11 touchdowns in just five games. Wallace has at least three catches in each game, including against the Chargers and Broncos who are two of the better secondaries in the NFL. He gets the top matchup for opposing receivers for this week, so be sure to consider him for your tournament lineups. Considering Wallace is the top receiving option for the Vikings, he makes for an excellent tournament play.

Anquan Boldin, $9,100 vs. BAL

Boldin could have an even better matchup than Wallace considering the circumstances. Boldin faces a Ravens secondary that has allowed 1,100 yards and seven touchdowns to wide receivers this season. With Boldin becoming the top option in the Niners' passing game, he makes for an excellent play at just $9,100. His huge frame is a tough matchup for anyone, but given the Ravens' lack of success against big wide receivers (A.J. Green, Amari Cooper) it makes for a solid matchup in cash and in tournaments. Boldin has seen 19 targets in the last two weeks.

TIGHT END

Delanie Walker, $7,500 vs. MIA

In Week 6, a lot of players will have Rob Gronkowski, Antonio Gates and Tyler Eifert, and all for good reasons. This makes Walker a low-owned player flying under the radar. In three games this season, Walker has 14 catches for 147 yards and a touchdown. He has seen 16 targets in his last two games and remains a top target for Marcus Mariota at more than six per game. Walker and the Titans face the Dolphins, who have given up touchdowns to tight ends to both the Redskins and Bills this season. The Dolphins have also blanked the Jaguars and the Jets' tight ends, but neither offense uses them like the Redskins, Bills and Titans. Enjoy a good matchup and a low price for Walker, who will be rarely owned at a scarce position.

DEFENSE

Washington, $4,800 vs. NYJ

Each week you hear about the Seahawks, the Broncos, the Cardinals, the Rams and other top defenses in DFS. For Week 6, the Redskins' defense could be mentioned with those teams considering the opportunity against the Jets. The Jets have thrown an interception in each game, and the Redskins' defense is quietly one of the best in the NFL, ranking near the top 10. The Redskins are priced as DST16, which means there are 15 teams worth taking over them, according to the pricing. There are only three teams cheaper than the Redskins defense, which makes them a top value play in a good matchup against the Ryan Fitzpatrick-led Jets offense. Washington DST is a cap-saving key for your lineups, as the cheap price will allow you to spend on bigger players.
