This article is part of our Yahoo DFS Basketball series.
So far, both Conference Finals have been one-sided affairs. The Bucks have a 2-0 lead with their series shifting to Toronto on Sunday, while the Warriors will try to eliminate the Blazers via a four-game sweep Monday. This might our last opportunity for a two-game Yahoo DFS slate, so let's try to take advantage with a winning entry.
GUARDS
Stephen Curry, GS at POR ($42): Curry put on another offensive show in Game 3, hitting six three-pointers on his way to 36 points. He's scored at least that many points in all three games while also averaging 6.7 rebounds and six assists. Expect him to continue to have one of the highest upsides at any position with Kevin Durant (calf) still sidelined.
Malcolm Brogdon, MIL at TOR ($15): After being out for almost two months due to a foot injury, Brogdon was able to come back and play 17 minutes in the final game of the Bucks' previous series against the Celtics. He's increased his playing time to at least 25 minutes in both games of the Eastern Conference Finals, which has enabled him to score 22.1 and 28.3 Yahoo points, respectively. Even if he continues to come off the bench Sunday, he's a viable target at this price.
Guard to Avoid
Eric Bledsoe, MIL at TOR ($27): The Bucks handled the Raptors with ease in Game 2, but Bledsoe scored just 24.5 Yahoo points in 29 minutes. He was only 3-for-10 from the field and has scored a total of 17 points across the first two games. Now that he's scored 25.9 Yahoo points or fewer in six of his last seven games, it's hard to justify adding him to your entry considering he doesn't come at a discount.
FORWARDS
Kawhi Leonard, TOR vs. MIL ($45): Leonard tried his best to pull off an upset on the road Friday, scoring 31 points on his way to 44.6 Yahoo points. He was extremely efficient once again, shooting 10-for-18 from the field and 10-for-10 from the charity stripe. The Raptors are going to need him to score a ton if they are going to get back into this series, so expect Leonard to have a high floor once again.
Norman Powell, TOR vs. MIL ($10): The Raptors might be wise to play Powell more in Game 3. He only logged 10 minutes in Game 1, but he still scored six points on the strength of two three-pointers. They then played him 25 minutes in Game 2, leading him to score 14 points and provide 20.8 Yahoo points. At the minimum price, he might be someone to take a chance on in tournament play to help differentiate your entry.
Forward to Avoid
Khris Middleton, MIL at TOR ($28): Middleton has had his share of struggles against the Raptors this season and that carried over into Game 2 with him scoring 14.7 Yahoo points. Not only did he score just 12 points, but he logged only one rebound and one assist while failing to record a defensive stat. His ceiling simply isn't high enough at this price.
CENTERS
Kevon Looney, GS at POR ($12): In an odd turn of events, the Warriors decided to start Damian Jones in Game 3. He picked up a quick three fouls in three minutes and never returned to the game. Looney continued to see an expanded role off the bench, scoring 15.1 Yahoo points across 27 minutes. Whether he starts or comes off the bench, Looney is likely going to see enough playing time in Game 4 to remain DFS relevant.
Meyers Leonard, POR vs. GS ($11): An adjustment that the Blazers made for Game 3 was to start Leonard at center. Even though they still didn't win, Leonard played well on his way to 25.6 Yahoo points. He even logged 31 minutes, which was third-most on the team. If he remains a starter for Game 4, he's a great option at this price.
Center to Avoid
Enes Kanter, POR vs. GS ($20): With Leonard starting, that meant Kanter was left to come off the bench. He ended up playing just seven minutes in what has continued to be a tough series for him. His defensive deficiencies will likely lead to a reduced role again Monday, making him way too risky when you consider Looney and Leonard are both considerably cheaper.
