FanDuel NBA: Wednesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Wednesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Wednesday's NBA slate brings 11 games to the table and is set to begin at 7:00 PM Eastern time. Certain players from all across the price spectrum stand out from the pack as options to target at their respective valuations, so read on to see who they are. FanDuel's format only counts the eight highest scores in your nine-player lineup, so keep that in mind when making your selections.

POINT GUARD

Kadeem Allen, NY vs. PHI ($4,000): The Knicks are in free-fall with losses in 17 straight, but the team's unimpressive roster has created an opportunity for Allen to prove he belongs at the NBA level. The G league call-up has averaged 30 minutes of run in the past two games, making the most of that playing time with 19.5 PPG, 3.5 RPG and 6.0 APG. Still valued at just $4,000, Allen's primed to deliver strong bang for the buck against a 76ers team that's letting opponents score 114.8 points per game on the road.

Chris Paul, HOU at MIN ($8,200): He may not score 30 every night like teammate James Harden, but Paul has done plenty to make fantasy owners happy with 16.7 PPG, 4.7 RPG and 10.3 APG over the past three games. CP3 has accomplished these averages despite shooting just 37.8 percent (14-37) in those three contests. If the career 47.1 percent shooter can find his stroke against a Timberwolves team that's just 2-6 in its past eight games, Paul should improve even further on his recent play.

SHOOTING GUARD

Devin Booker, PHO at LAC ($8,400): Booker showed no signs of rust after returning from a two-game layoff due to a hamstring injury, recording 27 points, eight rebounds and six assists Sunday in Sacramento. Operating as the primary scorer and facilitator for the Suns, Booker should thrive in what promises to be a high-scoring affair against a Clippers club that surrenders 114.0 points per game in its own building -- third-most in the league.

C.J. McCollum, POR vs. GS ($6,600): McCollum has displayed enormous upside recently, scoring 30-plus points in four of his last eight games while producing a 28-point triple double in one of the other four. While living up to his high ceiling won't be easy against the mighty Warriors, Golden State could be a step slow in this second leg of a back-to-back. The high reward of a strong performance is well worth the risk at $6,600.

SMALL FORWARD

Joe Harris, BKN at CLE ($5,300): Harris has averaged 20.0 PPG in three games since sitting one out, and he's now poured in 17-plus points in five of his past six appearances. The sharpshooter isn't completely hapless in other categories with 3.6 RPG and 2.6 APG this season, but Harris' value comes mostly from his ability to put the ball in the basket. That ability should be on full display against a Cavaliers club that sports an ugly 12-45 record this season.

Gordon Hayward, BOS vs. DET ($5,300): While Terry Rozier flopped as the starting point guard with Kyrie Irving sidelined by his latest knee injury in Tuesday's win over Philadelphia, Hayward made up for the absence of his fellow-max-player by pouring in a team-high 26 points in 28 minutes. The former Jazz star has seen an uptick in minutes recently, playing at least 26 in four straight games after being held below that mark in each of his previous 14 appearances. Hayward's scored 18-plus points in three of those four games while chipping in 5.3 RPG and 4.0 APG. As long as the Celtics don't scale his playing time back too much in this second leg of a back-to-back, Hayward should keep building on his recent momentum.

POWER FORWARD

Montrezl Harrell, LAC vs. PHO ($7,800): Tobias Harris' trade deadline departure has opened up more minutes at the power forward position for Harrell, who should also continue to play plenty at center as well. The big man has exceeded his season playing time average of 26 minutes in each of his past six games and capped the Clippers' six-game road trip with 18 points and 12 rebounds over 35 minutes in Minnesota. Back home to take on a Suns team that's bringing up the rear in the Western Conference standings, Harrell's primed to rack up strong point and rebound totals once again.

Dario Saric, MIN vs. HOU ($5,100): Saric was already on the upswing before teammate Andrew Wiggins came down with an illness, and he's in line for an extended role with Wiggins looking uncertain to play after missing both Monday's game and Tuesday's practice. The early-season trade acquisition posted 19 points and eight rebounds in 33 minutes Monday with Wiggins out, giving Saric averages of 16.8 PPG and 6.5 RPG over his past four contests. Despite this recent success, he can still be had for just $5,100.

CENTER

Nikola Jokic, DEN vs. SAC ($10,900): Sacramento has been an ideal matchup for opposing centers all season, especially on the road. The Kings give up the third-most points per game (116.6) and third-most rebounds per game (56.5) on the road this season, so Jokic is in line to exceed his season averages of 20.4 PPG, 10.5 RPG and 7.7 APG against this vulnerable opposition. Owners able to clear the cap room for him are likely to reap the benefits.
