Point Guard
Ish Smith, $5,800 – This pick is one of those "fade at your own risk" in cash games. Smith has played 33, 32 and 31 minutes in each of his last three games and will get playing time even in a blowout. However, that shouldn't happen tonight with the 76ers visiting the Lakers, a team that gives up a ton of fantasy points to opposing point guards. It's hard to find a player who can score over 40 fantasy points at this price but that's exactly what Smith has done in each of his last two games.
Aaron Brooks, $4,000, J.J. Barea, $4,400 – Both of these players are listed together because their fantasy value hinges on the availability of Derrick Rose and Deron Williams, respectively. Over his last two games Brooks has fantasy games of 33.7 and 27.1 while Barea has at least 36 fantasy points in three of his last four. Check the updates for both throughout the day and then determine who you should use in your lineup.
Shooting Guard
Lou Williams, $5,300 – Williams was in the middle of a steady run and then hit a dry spell when he had 7.5, 11.2 and 8.2 fantasy points in three consecutive games last week. The good news is that it was reported that he was suffering from a shoulder stinger and that appears to no longer be an issue. Williams has games of 29.8 and 27.3 over his last two and this matchup is great playing at home against Philadelphia.
Evan Fournier, $5,600 – Fournier started hot this season, slumped and fell out of favor and is back to playing starter minutes for the Magic. He has at least 29 fantasy points in five of his last six games and the other game in that equation was a 25.7-effort. That shows what a good floor he's established and the Wizards haven't defended shooting guards well since Bradley Beal has been out.
Small Forward
Chandler Parsons, $5,200 – Many will be off Parsons after his five-point effort Wednesday that resulted in 17.7 fantasy points. That being said, his minutes restriction is off and he's been playing in low-to-mid-30s over his last six games. He has at least 27.8 fantasy points in four of his last six games and Luol Deng isn't the defender he used to be.
Otto Porter, $6,000 – Porter has re-entered the lineup and been a big boost to the Wizards offense. He's scored 31.8 and 36.6 fantasy points in his last two contests and is clearing minutes in the mid-30s. Washington plays an up-tempo game and Porter benefits from playing alongside John Wall.
Power Forward
Kristaps Porzingis, $6,200 – It's always a roll of the dice with Porzingis but the payoff can be handsome. He can have games in the upper-teens as far as fantasy points but he can also have 38.4 or 47.6 like he's done in two of his last four games. Keep in mind that Chicago isn't the defensive front they were last season.
Nerlens Noel, $6,300 – Noel has been brilliant on the 76ers' recent road trip and contributes fantasy stats across the board. He's scored 39.8, 36.7 and 33.2 fantasy points over his last three games and has averaged three steals per gameover his last four. As noted, the Lakers give up a ton of fantasy points to opposing teams, especially in the paint.
Center
Nikola Vucevic, $8,200 – This isn't some crazy call considering he's the most expensive center listed on the slate. Vucevic has established a solid floor, scoring at least 30 fantasy points in each of his last nine games and has been playing big minutes in the mid-30s in those contests. Again, the matchup against the Wizards is good, as they play at a fast paced tempo.
