This might be the shortest slate we have all season. There are only three games in total, and this card comprises only two of them. That's usually what we have in the postseason, but it's clear MLB is trying to give some of these teams a day off after a busy week. That leaves us with Mets-Giants and Atlanta-Arizona games to dissect. Those are at least two interesting matchups, so let's take a look at them from a DFS standpoint.

Pitching
David Peterson, NYM at SF ($9,200)
This is a difficult slate to pick pitchers, but we'll go with Peterson in a favorable road matchup against the Giants. Not only does San Francisco possess one of the most spacious ballparks in baseball, but the Giants were 20th in OBP and 21st in wOBA last season. That's a juicy target given the way Peterson looked in his season debut, throwing 5.1 scoreless innings against the Pirates. This lefty also had a 3.18 ERA and 1.25 WHIP before struggling in the final month of last season. The stuff is there for Peterson to have a breakout campaign, and we love that he threw two quality starts against the Giants last season en route to a 2.25 ERA.
Robbie Ray, SF vs. NYM ($7,800) is our second choice in the spacious grounds of Oracle Park, collecting a 3.49 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 9.9 K/9 rate since 2021.
Top Targets
Corbin Carroll, ARI ($4,200) vs. Reynaldo Lopez
If I'm being completely honest, this is a tough slate to dissect because we don't have any bad pitchers among these four teams. With that said, Lopez is potentially the worst of the bunch. The Atlanta righty has a 3.92 career ERA and 1.27 WHIP. He's also made only one start last season due to shoulder trouble and could struggle against a top-five Arizona offense from 2025. Carroll is the straw that stirs the drink for this lineup, averaging 28 FanDuel points per game across his last three fixtures. Carroll also has a .925 OPS against righties since the start of last year. If you want to stack Diamondbacks, Geraldo Perdomo ($3,700), Ketel Marte ($3,600) and Gabriel Moreno ($2,700) offer the best pairings with Carroll.
Ronald Acuna, ATL ($3,500) at Ryne Nelson
It's shocking to see Acuna's salary this low. The superstar has been one of the best DFS options around, ranking top-three in FD points per game since he debuted in 2018. In fact, he's averaging about 35 homers and 40 steals per 150 games played. That's an absurd power-speed combo, and we're not worried about him facing a pitcher who has a 4.33 ERA since 2023. Atlanta is my favorite stack of the day, with Matt Olson ($3,500), Austin Riley ($3,000) and Ozzie Albies ($2,900) looking like the best plays alongside Acuna.
Bargain Bats
Bo Bichette, NYM ($2,900) at Robbie Ray
Bo has really struggled with his new team, but it's still bizarre to see him this cheap. The former All-Star had a .311 AVG and .840 OPS with Toronto last season. It's just a matter of time before he gets back to that because Bichette has a .293 career AVG and .802 OPS. Having the platoon advantage against a wild Ray could help the second-generation star find his form, because he also had an .891 OPS against southpaws last season. Stacking against Ray is tough, but Luis Robert ($3,900), Francisco Alvarez ($3,000) and Marcus Semien ($2,800) all have the platoon advantage against him.
Matt Chapman, SF ($2,900) vs. Peterson
With only four teams in action, you'll probably have to use some bats against the pitcher you select. We'll ride Chapman as a cheap option against Peterson because he's slaughtered southpaws throughout his career. Chapman has a .337 OBP, .795 OPS and .209 ISO against left-handers. That's hard to find from a sub-$3K player, especially since he dropped 25 FanDuel points just two days ago. We wouldn't advise stacking against Peterson, but Willy Adames ($2,900) and Heliot Ramos ($2,800) both hit from the right side as well.
