Dream11 Fantasy Soccer: Brighton v. Arsenal Preview

This article is part of our Dream11 Fantasy Soccer series.

Game Preview

Arsenal couldn't have delivered a poorer performance Wednesday against Manchester City – they finished with 10 men, looked brutally outmatched and stumbled to a 3-0 loss against the reigning league champions. The Gunners, however, have a great chance for a bounce-back performance Saturday against a lowly Brighton side that has been struggling with the relegation threat all year. Brighton have taken just four points of their last 15 available, while Arsenal were riding a three-game winning streak before losing Wednesday. The Seagulls have had good results against Arsenal of late, however, going undefeated in their last four meetings against the Gunners (W2, D2). Arsenal are the better team on paper, but Brighton can't be taken for granted.

Recent Form

Brighton: D4, L1

Arsenal: W3, D1, L1

Team News

Brighton

OUT: Jose Izquierdo (knee)

Doubtful: Steven Alzate (groin), Aaron Connolly (ankle)

Arsenal

OUT: David Luiz (suspension), Sokratis Papastathopoulos (thigh), Cedric Soares (nose), Granit Xhaka (ankle), Lucas Torreira (ankle), Pablo Mari (ankle), Calum Chambers (knee)

Doubtful: None

Expected Lineups

Brighton: Mathew Ryan; Martin Montoya, Dan Burn, Lewis Dunk, Adam Webster; Yves Bissouma, Aaron Mooy, Davy Propper; Solomon March, Neal Maupay, Leandro Trossard

Arsenal: Bernd Leno; Hector Bellerin, Rob Holding, Shkodran Mustafi, Kieran Tierney; Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Dani Ceballos; Alexandre Lacazette, Mesut Ozil, Nicolas Pepe; Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Top Picks

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Arsenal: The Gabon international had a limited impact against Manchester

Top Picks

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Arsenal: The Gabon international had a limited impact against Manchester City, but he should have far more opportunities to score against a weaker lineup. Auba has 17 goals this season and ranks as the second-best scorer in the league. That's enough reason to trust him with a captaincy nod.

Alexandre Lacazette, Arsenal: Lacazette is expected to play wide on the right but could form a deadly pairing with Aubameyang up front. The former Lyon star has seven goals and three assists this season. He doesn't play much, but he can be an impactful presence when he does.

Captain and Vice-Captain Options

  1. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
  2. Alexandre Lacazette
  3. Bernd Leno
  4. Neal Maupay
