Utah Mammoth
at Tampa Bay Lightning
The Mammoth (27-20-4) and the Lightning (32-14-4) meet at Benchmark International Arena in Tampa on ESPN+ at 7 p.m. ET, and it's a surprisingly strong matchup.
Utah enters the game with five consecutive victories, and it has picked up points in nine straight outings, going 8-0-1, while the offense has scored five goals in three in a row, and four of the past five games, with the Over going 3-0 in the past three outings.
The Mammoth kicked off a four-game road trip with a 5-2 win in Nashville on Saturday before the nasty ice storm hit the southeast. The Predators were able to get out of town, and there is no worry about ice on the Suncoast in Tampa. Nick Schmaltz has torn it up for Utah lately, going for four goals and nine points with a plus-11 rating in the past seven games.
The Lightning suffered a stunning 8-5 loss in Columbus on Saturday, their first loss in regulation since Dec. 18 at home against the Los Angeles Kings. Tampa Bay is still 14-1-1 in the past 16 games. The Over cashed against the Blue Jackets, but the Under is still 5-1 in the past six outings. Nikita Kucherov continues to crush, going for three goals and 11 points in just five games.
It should be noted that Jonas Johansson, the backup goaltender, was tasked with the start, allowing six goals in the second end of a back-to-back. The red-hot Andrei Vasilevskiy (22-7-3, 2.13 GAA, .916 SV%, 1 SO) is all but certain to be back between the pipes, and the Mammoth are likely to counter with Karel Vejmelka (25-11-2, 2.57 GAA, .900 SV%, 1 SO).
Let's back the Mammoth as underdogs on the puck line, and we'll go low on the total.
- Mammoth +1.5 Goals (-160 at BetMGM)
- Under 6.5 (-120 at Bet365, Caesars and DraftKings Sportsbooks)

Anaheim Ducks
at Edmonton Oilers
The Ducks (28-21-3) and the Oilers (26-19-8) meet at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, at 8:30 p.m. EST, and the game can be viewed or streamed on ESPN+.
Last season, the Ducks surprised the Oilers with three victories in four meetings, as the Over-Under split 2-2. Anaheim blasted Edmonton 6-2 as a heavy underdog (+290) on March 4 in the most recent visit, as the Over (6.5) cashed.
Anaheim makes the fourth stop on a five-game road trip, and so far it is 3-for-3. The Ducks posted a 4-3 win in overtime on Sunday behind Lukas Dostal, but with no rest, it is expected to turn to Ville Husso (6-4-1, 3.07 GAA, .888 SV%). Husso has allowed four or more goals in three of his past four starts, and he has conceded at least three goals in six of his previous eight outings.
Cutter Gauthier has been hot for the Ducks, going for three goals and six points with a plus-5 rating, while Jackson LaCombe, recently named to the Team USA Olympic roster, has 10 helpers in the past 11 games.
Edmonton outlasted the visiting Washington Capitals 6-5 in overtime on Saturday as the Over (6.5) cashed, and the Oilers have won three of the past five games, while scoring five or more goals three times in the span. The Over has cashed in each of the past two games.
Tristan Jarry (14-5-2, 2.82 GAA, .900 SV%, 2 SO) is expected to be in between the pipes for the home side. We could have ourselves a high-scoring game, especially with the very giving Husso in the blue ice and the Ducks playing on no rest. In fact, a couple of sportsbooks are offering the rare flat seven-goal total.
While the Oilers should get the job done on home ice, take the Ducks catching the goal and a half. Anaheim is 2-0-1 in the past three games when playing on no rest.
- Ducks +1.5 Goals (-115 at Bet365, BetMGM, Caesars and DraftKings Sportsbooks)
- Over 6.5 (-140 Bet365 and FanDuel Sportsbooks)
