St. Louis Blues
at Winnipeg Jets
The Blues (19-22-8) and the Jets (19-23-6) meet at Canada Life Centre at 8 p.m. EST, and the game can be viewed or streamed on ESPN+.
These teams met on Dec. 17 at Enterprise Center, and Justin Faulk notched an even-strength goal at 13:17 of the second period, with a helper to Robert Thomas, and that was all the offensive support Joel Hofer needed. He stopped all 24 of the shots he faced in a 1-0 victory. Connor Hellebuyck was a hard-luck loser, allowing the single goal on 26 shots.
The Blues make the second stop on a three-game road trip, and they're hopeful it goes better than the opening game in Edmonton. The Oilers posted a 5-0 win on Sunday as the Under (6.5) cashed. They're 2-4-0 in the past six games, and the Under has cashed in four consecutive outings.
The Jets are also coming off a 2-0 loss on the road against the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday night, as Hellebuyck received no offensive support. The Under (6) cashed, snapping a four-game win streak. The Over is also 8-2 in the past 10 games since dropping the ball to ring in 2026. Winnipeg is 0-1-1 in the past two games, but 4-1-1 in the previous six outings.
The Blues have won four of the past six meetings in this series, including three victories at home in the first-round playoff series last spring. The most recent regular-season meeting in Winnipeg resulted in a 3-1 win by the Jets as moderate favorites (-190) as the Under (5.5) cashed.
Jordan Binnington (8-12-6, 3.59 GAA, .869 SV%, 1 SO) is projected to go for the Blues, while Hellebuyck (12-12-5, 2.71 GAA, .902 SV%) is likely to go for the Jets.
We'll back the home team here, and let's go low on the total.

New Jersey Devils
at Edmonton Oilers
The Devils (25-22-2) meet the Oilers (25-17-8) at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, at 10 p.m. EST on TNT, HBO Max and truTV.
New Jersey opened a four-game road trip Monday night with a 2-1 victory in overtime. After a scoreless first period, the Flames fell behind 1-0 at 7:51 of the second period, but Nazem Kadri bounced back with his ninth goal at 9:44 of the second, as Kevin Bahl and Matvei Gridin chipped in with assists. That's all the scoring we had until overtime, as Simon Nemec netted the winner, with Jack Hughes picking up his 20th assist of the season on the primary, and Jesper Bratt notching his 26th assist on the secondary helper.
Jacob Markstrom allowed just a single even-strength goal while making 21 saves. Jake Allen (11-11-1, 2.68 GAA, .908 SV%, 1 SO) is expected to be in the crease in the back-to-back situation.
New Jersey won 5-2 in Minnesota on Jan. 12 in the most recent game on no rest, and it is 3-5-0 in eight games when playing in the second end of a back-to-back. The Devils have two wins in such situations against the Wild, while going 1-5-0 against everyone else. The Under is 4-1 in the past five games on no rest, too.
Edmonton has picked up consecutive shutout victories, topping the Blues 5-0 last time out behind Connor Ingram, and 6-0 in Vancouver on Saturday in the front-end of the back-to-back set.
Since Jan. 6, Edmonton is 5-1-2 in the past eight games, and the Under has cashed in three in a row and four of the past five outings.
We'll definitely go low on the total, and with the Devils going 2-5-0 in the past seven games, while allowing 4.0 GPG in the span, let's take the Oilers to get the job done.
- Oilers ML (-160 at Bet365, BetMGM and Fanatics Sportsbooks)
- Under 6.5 (-125 Bet365, Caesars, DraftKings and Fanatics Sportsbooks)
