Florida Panthers
at Chicago Blackhawks
The two-time defending Stanley Cup champion Panthers (27-20-3) pull into the Windy City to battle the Blackhawks (21-22-8) in the second game of the NHL Network doubleheader. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST.
Florida wraps up a three-game road trip after each of their first two games ended with one-goal victories. On Thursday, Florida won 2-1 in a shootout behind Daniil Tarasov at Winnipeg, while they picked up a 4-3 victory in overtime as slight underdogs (+105) in the Twin Cities against the Wild on Saturday.
The Panthers used Sergei Bobrovsky on Saturday, so Tarasov (7-6-2, 2.63 GAA, .906 SV%) gets the start, and he is expected to be opposed by former Florida tendy Spencer Knight (15-13-6, 2.54 GAA, .913 SV%, 3 SO).
Florida is an impressive 5-2-0 in the past seven games, with the Over going 4-2 in the previous six outings. In their previous meeting, the Panthers picked up a 3-2 win at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise on Oct. 7 as heavy favorites (-275) while the Under (5.5) cashed. The total has gone low at a 2-0-1 clip in the past three meetings in this series.
The Blackhawks have picked up points in three in a row, going 2-0-1 in the span, with the Under going 2-1, while cashing at an 8-3 clip in the past 11 outings.
Let's back the Panthers as moderate favorites, as they look to wrap up the road trip in perfect fashion. In addition, we'll go low on the total.

- Under 6 (-115 at Bet365, BetMGM and Caesars Sportsbooks)

Anaheim Ducks
at Calgary Flames
The Ducks (27-21-3) and Flames (21-25-5) meet at the Scotiabank Saddledome at 8 p.m. EST in Calgary for the first time this season.
Calgary won the season series 3-1-0 in 2024-25, including a pair of 4-1 victory at home on Jan. 30, and again on April 3. The Under cashed in three of the four meetings, too. The Flames have really had the number of the Ducks in recent seasons, too, winning seven of the past nine meetings, although Anaheim has won twice in the past five trips to Alberta since March 10, 2023.
Anaheim makes their third stop on a five-game road trip. And so far, so good. The Ducks won 2-1 in a shootout at Seattle on Wednesday, and 4-2 in Seattle on Friday. That's six consecutive victories for the Ducks, as they're rolling, cashing the Under in five of those games.
Solid goaltending and defense has been the key to the turnaround, as Lukas Dostal has won five consecutive starts, including two in a shootout. Anaheim is allowing just 1.7 goals per game (GPG) in the six-game win streak, too.
On the flip side, the Flames are having a difficult time lighting the lamp. They enter with three consecutive losses, all on home ice, and they've scored just a single goal in each of the setbacks. The Under is 4-0-1 in the past five games, and 7-1-1 across the past nine dating back to Jan. 7.
Dostal (18-12-2, 3.04 GAA, .894 SV%) is expected to be in between the pipes for the visitors, while Dustin Wolf (15-20-2, 3.00 GAA, .897 SV%, 2 SO) is likely to start for the home side.
Take the Ducks to get the job done, and we'll go low on the total, as Anaheim steams ahead. Going rather aggressively on the Under as a standalone play is a must-play, too, perhaps as many as three units.
