Kaden Wetjen

It's highly unusual to see a player drafted in the fourth round (121st overall) after barely playing offense or defense in college. Wetjen was a return specialist at Iowa, housing four punts and two kickoffs in three seasons, with averages of 17.7 and 27.5 yards, respectively. That's strong enough work to warrant a draft pick, and perhaps even a mid-round selection in a weak class, but there shouldn't be much expectation of developing offensive value. Wetjen isn't tiny, at 5-foot-10, 193, but he also isn't a burner (4.47 40 at the 2026 Combine) and never had any luck cracking Iowa's WR rotation beyond a gadget role (23 career catches, 23 carries). The Steelers figure to give him a look in the slot, but they'll probably want Wetjen to focus on special teams first and foremost. Read Past Outlooks
