2026 Projections
2026 Fantasy Outlook
The Raiders' 2025 collapse was nothing less than spectacular, failing memorably on the field while dysfunction ran rampant through team operations. Jeanty couldn't have stopped the implosion set in motion by the Pete Carroll regime, and any takeaways about Jeanty's abilities are probably best postponed until we see what he can do in a real NFL offense. As much as there are no true guarantees, there is sound basis to believe the hiring of new coach Klint Kubiak will unleash Jeanty right away in 2026. Kubiak showed unique insight as offensive coordinator the last two years, especially in terms of breaking the Cover-2 paradigm with a committed, muscular ground game. Kubiak correctly sees the ground game as the means of dictating terms to the defense, and with Jeanty's loud talent there could be explosive results right away in 2026. In addition to Kubiak's arrival, Jeanty should benefit from an improved offensive line and upgraded quarterback play, be it due to one or both of Fernando Mendoza and Kirk Cousins. Adding standout Tyler Linderbaum at center and Spencer Burford at left guard provides two important upgrades on the offensive line, which should also get a boost from the return of left tackle Kolton Miller, who missed the rest of last season following a Week 4 injury. Could see even more playing time?
New Raiders coach Klint Kubiak hinted Wednesday that Jeanty could play even more of an every-down workhorse role in his second season, Paul Gutierrez of the team's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
It comes off as typical coach speak that is routinely thrown around at this stage of the offseason, but it's at least worth noting nonetheless. "It's important to have a quality second back, but the best player has got to play, and we've got to get them on the field as much as we can," Kubiak said. "I don't know the play-snap percentage, but you look at Christian McCaffrey, his play-snap percentage is high. So, those great backs, they don't want to come off the field." Only nine running backs handled more carries and played more snaps than Jeanty last season, so it'll be tough to truly put significantly more on his plate in 2026, but the hope is for far better efficiency behind an improved offensive line with better coaching and quarterback play. Currently in the mix for RB touches that don't go to Jeanty are rookie fourth-rounder Mike Washington, as well as Dylan Laube, Chris Collier and UDFA addition Roman Hemby.

Even in a league well-stocked with running back talent, Jeanty is likely the position's best prospect in many years. That doesn't mean he'll be the best in the NFL -- Trent Richardson showed how things can go wrong even for seemingly infallible prospects -- but Jeanty nonetheless ranks on that level. At 5-foot-9, 211 pounds, he's naturally anchored and densely built, seemingly nailed to the floor and floating at the same time. He breaks tackle attempts with minimal effort, and his top on-field speed last season (21.7 mph) was the best of any RB from the incoming draft class, allowing him to skip pre-draft testing without hurting his stock. Jeanty dominated in two different roles at Boise State, thriving as a dual threat in 2023 (18.3 carries, 3.6 catches per game) before serving as more of a pure rushing workhorse in 2024 (26.7 carries, 1.7 catches). This means Jeanty likely can thrive as a Bijan Robinson-style workhorse or as more of an in-space specialist like early career Alvin Kamara. Large workloads won't take long to materialize in Las Vegas, where the No. 6 overall pick joins a backfield that was arguably the league's worst last season. The other new addition, 33-year-old Raheem Mostert, is unlikely to stand in Jeanty's way. Concerns about team context will be justified until the Raiders prove otherwise, but there is real hope for a competent offense under the guidance of new coordinator Chip Kelly and starting QB Geno Smith. For all of Kelly's other shortcomings, his four years as an NFL head coach produced offenses ranked first, ninth, 14th and fourth in rushing yards. Jeanty figures to step right in as the engine of the offense, with him and TE Brock Bowers being centerpieces of the Raiders' latest rebrand.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
More workload per HC Kubiak
Head coach Klint Kubiak relayed Thursday that he's looking to increase Jeanty's workload for the 2026 season, Nick Shook of NFL.com reports.
ANALYSIS
There was speculation that Jeanty's workload would decrease after the Raiders selected Arkansas' Mike Washington in the fourth round of the 2026 NFL Draft, but Kubiak apparently has other ideas. "It's important to have a quality second back, but the best player has got to play, and we've got to get them on the field as much as possible...those great backs, they don't want to come off the field," Kubiak told reporters Thursday. Jeanty finished his rookie year with 266 carries for 975 yards and five touchdowns along with 55 catches for 346 yards and five scores across 17 regular-season games.
