2025 Fantasy Outlook
Disappointing as 2025 was for the Lions, it proved to be another fruitful year for St. Brown's fantasy managers. He ripped off a third straight season in the range of 115-119 catches and 10-12 touchdowns, sacrificing some efficiency (8.1 YPT) while piling up a career-high 172 targets. Wan'Dale Robinson was the only WR with more slot yardage, and St. Brown also finished a respectable 16th in yards from the perimeter. Ben Johnson's departure for Chicago may have shifted the balance of power in the NFC North, but ARSB's fantasy value escaped unscathed, with Detroit's mediocrity leading to more deficits, more pass attempts and more targets. As much as the Lions hope that changes in 2026, they no longer have the elite offensive line that defined their team in 2023 and 2024. It should still be a good offense, with QB Jared Goff throwing to St. Brown, Jameson Williams, Jahmyr Gibbs and Sam LaPorta, but we shouldn't assume a return to the elite team-level efficiency from 2024. How much that matters for St. Brown in fantasy is up for debate, given his remarkable consistency and durability through five pro seasons. He's typically the fourth WR drafted for fantasy this year, after Puka Nacua, Ja'Marr Chase and Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Read Past Outlooks
RANKS
Closes season with flourish
St. Brown secured 11 of 15 targets for 139 yards in the Lions' 19-16 win over the Bears on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
St. Brown shook off a questionable designation due to a knee injury and put together one of his best performances of the season, as he was targeted early and often by Jared Goff. The star receiver comfortably paced the Lions in receptions, receiving yards and targets, recording his second-highest tallies of the season in the first and third categories in the process. St. Brown is essentially blameless in Detroit's surprising failure to reach the postseason, as the 2021 fourth-round pick recorded 117 receptions for 1,401 yards and 11 touchdowns and added three carries for nine yards across 17 games. St. Brown will naturally serve as a centerpiece of the Lions' air attack again in 2026.

2021
St. Brown has upped his production with each passing season since the Lions made him a fourth-round pick in 2021. He finished last year with career highs for catches, yards, targets and touchdowns, finishing Top 5 league-wide in each category. Star rookie TE Sam LaPorta took looks away from Detroit's ancillary pass catchers rather than St. Brown, who accounted for 29.9 percent of the targets in his 16 games, up from 27.7 percent the year before. Only CeeDee Lamb had more yards out of the slot than St. Brown's 604, and only Lamb and Tyreek Hill averaged more yards per route from the perimeter (3.3). While 4.51 speed means he'll always be more of a possession/YAC guy than true deep threat, St. Brown wasn't a complete zero downfield last year, tying for 43rd in targets 20-plus yards downfield (15) and 25th in catches (eight). He finished third among WRs in yards after catch (685) for a second straight year and dropped only two of 164 targets. St. Brown is perhaps the most effective short-area receiver in the league, and it's hard to find downside risk given the situational stability with Detroit bringing back QB Jared Goff and offensive coordinator Ben Johnson.
