Christmas Games Update complete

Championship Week! Let's bring it home!

Thursday Games: DAL@WAS; DET@MIN; DEN@KC.
Saturday Games: HOU@LAC; BAL@GB

Welcome to the Weekly Value Meter Rankings. This is a guide to help you decide who to start and sit in a given week. It's is not a season-long ranking nor a draft guide, and it's also not really intended as a free agent guide. While I appreciate that you want my opinion on pickups, every league is different, and your decision on whether to add/drop a particular player might also be dictated by other factors than who is rated higher in a given week.

Here are my operating assumptions for the rankings:

- The RB/WR/TE position rankings are for PPR leagues.
- The Flex rankings are for Standard leagues.
- 1 point per 10 rushing/receiving yards.
- 1 point per 20 passing yards.
- 4 points per passing touchdowns.

These are the fantasy football rankings I use when I make my start/sit decisions. Please consult the rankings first before asking "Should I start Patrick Mahomes or Bryce Young?"

These are my particular rankings. If you want a second opinion elsewhere on the site, you can see our Weekly Projections.

Each week after Week 1, the first set of rankings will be posted late on Tuesday night. I will then do a set of updates before kickoff on Thursday, and again before kickoff on Sunday morning.

When setting your lineups, make sure to refer to the NFL inactives to ensure

32.Ben Sauls NYG at LV
33.*Chad Ryland ARZ at CIN
Note: Ryland missed two field goal attempts in the loss to the Falcons and might lose his job, with the Cardinals adding Joshua Karty off their practice squad.
34.*Matt Prater BUF vs. PHI
Note: Prater (quad) did not take part in Tuesday's walk-through practice. His status for Sunday is uncertain.

Defenses

1.*New England Patriots at NYJ
Note: It's the Pats' turn to tee off on Brady Cook, who was under siege against the Saints all game last week.
2.*Denver Broncos at KC
Note: The Broncos get to face Chris Oladokun in his first career NFL start. LB Dre Greenlaw (hamstring) will miss Thursday night's game.
3.*Los Angeles Chargers vs. HOU
Note: The Chargers' defense was already dialed-in, and now they may get to face the Texans without both of their starting tackles, as both Trent Brown (knee) and Aireontae Ersery (broken hand) got hurt in the fourth quarter. Ersery already had surgery and doesn't have a timetable yet for his return, and both tackles sat out of Tuesday's practice.
4.Seattle Seahawks at CAR
5.Pittsburgh Steelers at CLE
6.*Jacksonville Jaguars at IND
Note: The Jaguars' defense continues to make big plays, and that should continue against Philip Rivers and the Colts' banged-up offensive line.
7.New Orleans Saints at TEN
8.Houston Texans at LAC
9.Minnesota Vikings vs. DET
10.Detroit Lions at MIN
11.Los Angeles Rams at ATL
12.*Tampa Bay Buccaneers at MIA
Note: This should be a good matchup, going against Quinn Ewers, but it's also hard to trust the Bucs' defense right now.
13.Philadelphia Eagles at BUF
14.Green Bay Packers vs. BAL
15.Tennessee Titans vs. NO
16.Baltimore Ravens at GB
17.Cleveland Browns vs. PIT
18.Buffalo Bills vs. PHI
19.San Francisco 49ers vs. CHI
20.Las Vegas Raiders vs. NYG
21.Miami Dolphins vs. TB
22.New York Giants at LV
23.Chicago Bears at SF
24.*Kansas City Chiefs vs. DEN
Note: George Karlaftis (illness) is questionable for Thursday night.
25.Carolina Panthers vs. SEA
26.New York Jets vs. NE
27.Indianapolis Colts vs. JAX
28.*Dallas Cowboys at WAS
Note: Quinnen Williams (concussion) was limited in practice and is listed as questionable. Meanwhile, S Donovan Wilson (hip) has been cleared from the injury list. LB DeMarvion Overshown (concussion) has been ruled out.
29.Atlanta Falcons vs. LAR
30.*Washington Commanders vs. DAL
Note: DT Daron Payne has been ruled out.
31.Cincinnati Bengals vs. ARI
32.Arizona Cardinals at CIN
