Quarterbacks
The obvious selection here is Lamar Jackson ($9,300), and it's tough to avoid him in cash games. He's a road favorite with the highest expected point total, and he'll get you the rushing yards the other quarterbacks won't. The Titans haven't stopped anyone all season and that should continue today.
If I'm looking at GPPs, I'm going to take a chance on Ben Roethlisberger ($7,500). This will be a much different game than a week ago, and this is more of a compliment to his receivers than it is to Ben. Cleveland has been terrible against the pass this season, and the receivers Ben has, I'd rank as a top-five group in the NFL.
Running Backs
I know it sounds crazy and costs a lot, but it's possible to go Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry ($10,200) and Alvin Kamara ($9,000). It leaves only $5,250 on average for every other position but that's doable. Vegas has Henry's over/under for rushing yards at 120.5, and both he and Kamara have better odds to score a touchdown than not.
J.K. Dobbins ($6,800) is my favorite tournament play at the position. The Ravens seem to have figured out he's the most talented running back they have, although Gus Edwards ($5,700) will still get his touches. I'd go with Dobbins if you aren't going to use Lamar Jackson as your quarterback.
Wide Receivers
Do we let Michael Thomas ($6,800) back into the Circle of Trust? He's done nothing all season, but the fact that he was activated is telling. I can't remember a time in the last few years his price was below $7K, and he can fit in the Lamar/Henry/Kamara lineup.
If you're going contrarian and expecting a shootout in the Baltimore/Tennessee game, I would (not going out on a limb here) look at A.J. Brown ($8,400) and Corey Davis ($6,400). Ryan Tannehill ($8,200) has been a master at play-action this season and has been very accurate throwing to the YAC receivers.
It's tough to read the tea leaves, but one of the Pittsburgh wide receivers should have a big day today. I'm going to back Diontae Johnson ($6,800) here, although Chase Claypool ($6,100) isn't far behind.
Tight Ends
Here's the spot where I'm going to spend down. We saw Jack Doyle go nuts against the Bills yesterday, and I feel like it's a similar situation digging for a tight end today. David Njoku ($4,600) and Jonnu Smith ($5,200) are two guys I think we should target. Njoku tweeted out a picture of a touchdown he had last week that was determined to be incomplete (falsely), but he's probably better left for tournaments. Jonnu won't be a popular pick after last week's 1.3 fantasy point performance, but his two targets were a season-low in that game. Look for him to rebound today.
Defenses
What defense you select today I think depends on your roster construction. It's common sense that if you don't take any Saints, Ravens or Steelers that the Titans ($3,400), Bears ($3,700) or Browns ($4,000) are worth considering. This is another spot today on which I'd strongly consider spending down to open up salary cap space for the more important positions.
