I'm honestly confused by how low these lines are unless Shane Larkin somehow plays, which is likely not going to happen with Efes ruling him out. Isaia Cordinier and Saben Lee -- per RotoWire's EuroLeague Injury Report -- will surely be sidelined, which leaves Loyd, Weiler-Babb, Dozier and Rodriguea Beaubois as the beneficiaries. All four now have legitimate high 20-minutes upside and potential major usage increases against a Maccabi team that gives up a ton of points.
Depending on who starts, there's real ladder value here -- plus strong assist props on these guys and the rest of the Efes rotation.
TJ Shorts Under 7.5 Points (-118 FanDuel)
Shorts has been forced into big minutes with Jerian Grant and the others banged up, and that situation should continue. But he's been shooting at an unreal efficiency lately. Against Hapoel's length, I see two ways this under hits:
- They cut his minutes and go bigger around Kendrick Nunn with Marius Grigonis and Georgios Kailazaikis.
- Or, the minutes stay the same but the length bothers him, and without his current efficiency the low shot volume for him on this team makes the under very playable.
Carlik Jones Over 4.5 Assists (-120 FanDuel)
I'm only playing a half unit here because it feels like we're playing with fire, but I'm still on it. Jones has been money on this prop for us, and this number still feels too low -- especially in a game that should be another high-scoring affair considering in their last meeting both teams nearly hit the century mark.
Recent stats show Red Star hasn't been giving up many assists to opposing point guards over the last 10 games, but Jones has the ball in his hands an absurd amount. I'm riding this one until the wheels fall off.
