Sunday brings seven games in the NBA, six of which will make up the main evening slate on Yahoo. Things will tip off at 6:00 PM EST, so you'll need to have your entry ready earlier than normal. Here are some players who could be in line for big performances, as well as a few who could struggle to provide value.
GUARDS
C.J. McCollum, POR vs. DET ($30): McCollum is going to continue to see increased scoring opportunities with Damian Lillard (groin) out. Despite being beaten soundly by the Pelicans on Friday, McCollum thrived with 27 points, six rebounds and 10 assists. This is a great opportunity for him to have another healthy stat line with the Pistons ranked inside the bottom-10 in the league in defensive rating.
Coby White, CHI vs. WAS ($14): The Bulls suffered yet another embarrassing loss Saturday, this time blowing a 17-point lead to a Suns' team that was playing the second night of a back-to-back set. If there was something good that came out of that game, it was that White played extremely well logging 34 minutes and finishing with 33 points, three rebounds and two assists. He should see similar playing time in this game because of all of the Bulls' injuries, making him a great cheap option against a Wizards' squad that has played at the fifth-fastest pace.
Guard to Avoid
Jeremy Lamb, IND at TOR ($15): There were times earlier in the season when Lamb was asked to take on an expanded role within the Pacers' offense due to injuries. However, since they are much improved in that area, Lamb hasn't been required to shoulder as much of the load. Add his decreased shot attempts with the Raptors having the second-best defensive rating and this is not a great situation.
FORWARDS
Christian Wood, DET at POR ($28): The Pistons oddly brought Wood off the bench against the Bucks on Thursday, citing defensive matchups. The good news was that he still logged 27 minutes and finished with 34.7 Yahoo points. Whether he starts or comes off the bench for this game, Wood could be in line for plenty of production against a Blazers' team that possesses very little size outside of Hassan Whiteside.
Rui Hachimura, WAS at CHI ($19): These same two teams faced each other a couple of weeks ago, and the Bulls had no answer for Hachimura in that contest. He finished with 39.3 Yahoo points in what was a 12-point win for the Wizards. He also scored 35.9 Yahoo points against the Cavaliers on Friday, feasting on yet another poor defensive side. With the amount of injuries the Bulls are dealing with up front, Hachimura could once again provide value at this reasonable price.
Forward to Avoid
Jerami Grant, DEN vs. MIN ($16): Grant started and played a lot for the Thunder last season, but his move to a deep Nuggets' lineup was clearly going to leave him with a reduced role. He began the season by playing limited minutes off the bench before eventually being thrown into the starting five because of injuries. However, with Paul Millsap, Mason Plumlee and Michael Porter Jr. all back in action, Grant only scored 7.7 Yahoo points over 21 minutes Friday against the Thunder. Expect his playing time to remain limited here, making him an unappealing option despite this favorable matchup.
CENTERS
Hassan Whiteside, POR vs. DET ($40): McCollum wasn't the only member of the Blazers who was busy with Lillard out Friday. Whiteside was once again a force down low, finishing with 19 points, 12 rebounds, two assists and six blocks. With the likes of Wood, Thon Maker and John Henson tasked with trying to slow him down, Whiteside once again has the potential to provide a monster double-double.
Naz Reid, MIN at DEN ($15): Karl-Anthony Towns (wrist) has been healthy throughout most of his career, but he just can't stay on the floor this season. He's only played 35 games and is once again on the shelf. James Johnson started the first game that he missed against the Hornets, but Reid moved into the starting five versus the Celtics on Friday. He certainly has a chance to stick in that role going forward considering he finished with 19 points, nine rebounds and three blocks.
Center to Avoid
Derrick Favors, NO at GS ($18): Favors has been playing limited minutes with the Pelicans sporting a healthy roster. Don't expect that to change against the Warriors, especially since this game could get out of hand in a hurry. The Warriors have obviously been terrible this season and will now be without Draymond Green (pelvis) for this matchup. It might be best to save the three dollars and roll with Reid if you want to fade Whiteside.
