2025 Fantasy Outlook
Ware was the No. 15 overall pick in 2024, and after a quiet start to his rookie season, he burst onto the scene and claimed the starting center job, pushing Bam Adebayo to power forward. Part of the reason Ware was thrust into a larger role was due to Jimmy Butler, who was injured and then refused to play when cleared to suit up. Butler was eventually rewarded with a trade to Golden State. Ware recorded 15 double-doubles in 64 regular-season appearances (36 starts) and averaged 1.1 blocks per game, giving him a strong fantasy floor. As a starter, he averaged 10.1 points and 9.4 rebounds per game. Ware attempted the occasional three, hardly ever got to the line, and his percentages in those categories were lackluster. The Heat added more offense this offseason by trading for Norman Powell, but that shouldn't impact Ware, who has a lengthy runway in the frontcourt due to a lack of depth. Behind Ware and Adebayo, Miami has Nikola Jovic, Simone Fontecchio, Jaime Jaquez and two-way rookie Vladislav Goldin. Given his poor free-throw percentage, Ware is safer in points leagues, but he should be a top-100 pick either way. Read Past Outlooks
Double-double with five blocks
Ware chipped in 12 points (5-12 FG, 2-8 3Pt), 19 rebounds, four assists and five blocks over 42 minutes during Tuesday's 127-126 overtime Play-In Tournament loss to Charlotte.
ANALYSIS
Ware did everything he could to get Miami over the line, leading the game with 19 rebounds and five blocks. With Bam Adebayo leaving early due to a back injury, Ware was forced into a sizeable role, serving as the primary big man. While it was a solid season for Ware, his ongoing role will no doubt be a contentious topic, as he switched between starting and coming off the bench for much of the 2025-26 campaign.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
Ware was selected by the Heat with the No. 15 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. As a sophomore last year in Indiana, Ware earned spots on the All-Big Ten Second Team (media) and the All-Big Ten Defensive Team. The 7-footer showed upside as a rim-protecting stretch five, blocking 1.9 shots and making 0.6 threes at 42.5 percent in 32.2 minutes per game. He's also a phenomenal athlete capable of highlight-reel dunks, giving him intriguing offensive upside in a league so reliant on pick-and-roll and pick-and-pop offense. The reason Ware was drafted in the middle of the first round rather than higher is largely due to mixed effort and decision-making, not to mention a lack of desire to play with physicality. In terms of his immediate role, Ware could slot in as Bam Adebayo's backup, though there's potential for the two to share the floor. Ware put up some impressive Summer League performances, averaging 18.3 points and 0.4 threes on 58/20/68 shooting, 8.4 rebounds, 1.9 blocks and 1.1 assists in 26.7 minutes.
