FanDuel NBA: Wednesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Wednesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Wednesday's 11-game NBA slate begins at 7:00 PM Eastern time. While there's no shortage of selection, certain players stand out as strong values thanks to a combination of opportunity and opponent. FanDuel's format only counts the eight highest scores in your nine-player lineup, so keep that in mind when making your selections.

POINT GUARD

Spencer Dinwiddie, BKN vs. MIA ($5,800): Brooklyn lost some much-needed ball handling with Caris LeVert's gruesome ankle injury Monday, and the solution could be more of the Dinwiddie-D'Angelo Russell backcourt. Dinwiddie's already chipping in 13.9 PPG and 4.1 APG in 27 minutes per game, and an increase in playing time should lead to a corresponding rise in production for the point guard. Last season, LeVert didn't have the ball in his hands as much and Dinwiddie averaged 6.5 assists per game, so improvement in that category is especially likely.

Kyrie Irving, BOS vs. CHI ($8,900): Irving has easily outperformed his $8,900 valuation recently, and he should continue to do so against a Bulls team that's allowing 112.4 points and 12.0 made three-pointers per game. Over his past six appearances, Irving's pouring in 28.0 PPG to go with 4.7 RPG, 5.3 APG and 2.2 steals per game. He's also made 27 three-pointers in that stretch, good for an average of 4.5 per game.

SHOOTING GUARD

C.J. McCollum, POR at LAL ($6,400): Damian Lillard will be a game-time decision due to a knee injury, and McCollum will take an even larger offensive load if Lillard's out or limited. McCollum's already averaging 20.5 PPG, and will likely exceed that lofty mark against a Lakers team that's allowing 115.5 points per game, Lillard or no Lillard.

Jordan Clarkson, CLE at WAS ($6,000): Coming off a season-best, 24-point performance, Clarkson should keep the good times rolling against the league-worst Wizards defense. Washington's opponents are averaging 118.5 points per game, so Clarkson should at least exceed his season average of 15.8 PPG. He's also picked up the rest of his game, with his three best rebounding performances and two of his three highest assist totals coming in the past three games.

SMALL FORWARD

Paul George, OKC vs. NY ($10,300): George has stepped up with Russell Westbrook sidelined by an ankle injury, recording no fewer than 20 points, eight rebounds or six assists over the past three games. He's averaging over 50 fantasy points per game in that stretch, and should have no problem roasting a Knicks team that's allowing 111.6 points per game as the focal point of Oklahoma City's offense.

Joe Ingles, UTA at DAL ($6,400): Jingling Joe's average of 29.1 fantasy points is the best among all small forwards priced below Josh Richardson's $7,400, and Ingles is primed for an above average performance in a favorable matchup against the Mavericks. Dallas is giving up 112.5 points and 11.5 made three-pointers per game, while Ingles is one of the league's elite marksmen from deep, shooting 39.8 percent from three-point range after consecutive seasons at 44.0 percent or higher. He's also diversifying his stat line with 4.5 RPG and 4.5 APG.

POWER FORWARD

Kevin Knox, NY at OKC ($4,400): The Knicks have been easing Knox back in after his ankle injury, but his workload and production are starting to ramp up. After seeing just four and nine minutes in his first two games after getting back on the court, Knox has played 24 and 25 in the last two, scoring 12 points and then matching his career high with 17. With his role on the upswing, this is a nice buy-low opportunity on the talented rookie, who will undoubtedly blow past the 20-point mark in the near future.

Wendell Carter, CHI at BOS ($6,900): Carter needed a few games to get his feet wet, but the rookie's quickly come into his own with 14.2 PPG and 9.4 RPG over the past nine games. He's also a key contributor in the all-important hustle stats with 1.1 steals and 2.2 blocks per game over the most recent nine. Boston gives up the fifth-most rebounds at 57.1 per game, so Carter's primed for a strong game on the glass.

CENTER

Julius Randle, NO at MIN ($7,300): Randle has been a beast in the past two games with fellow frontcourt player Nikola Mirotic out due to an ankle injury, averaging 19.5 PPG, 13.5 RPG and 3.5 APG in 36 minutes. Even if the questionable Mirotic is able to make his return, Randle should see plenty of run in the thin Pelicans rotation. Randle should find plenty of success against a Timberwolves team that was already allowing 117.4 points per game and should only get worse on that end after trading away Jimmy Butler. Minnesota also allows the third-most opposing rebounds per game at 57.7.
